NEED TO KNOW
- Hayley Jamison planned a ‘Limited Two’-themed birthday party for her 2-year-old daughter, Hunter Paige
- The party featured nostalgic details like butterfly clips, a glam station, and throwback music, including Hilary Duff hits
- Jamison says the party was extra special after years of IVF and celebrates her confident and strong daughter
Picture this: it’s 2005, and Lizzie McGuire is blasting as you strut into Limited Too, ready to purchase some butterfly clips and a fluffy pen. Except this time, it’s 2026, and it’s a 2-year-old’s birthday party with the perfect “Limited Two” theme thrown by a millennial mom.
Hayley Jamison, 35, couldn’t turn down the opportunity to plan the nostalgic Y2K birthday party for her daughter, Hunter Paige, 2, after one of her fellow mom friends sent her the idea.
“One of my best friends was scrolling TikTok during a middle-of-the-night nursing session and sent over the inspo to me (a few of our close friends all had babies around the same time, so we regularly text each other at 3 a.m.) We’re all millennial moms who grew up with Limited Too, and it was too good to pass up for my daughter’s second birthday,” Jamison tells PEOPLE.
The Arizona-based mom of two, who shares Hunter and son Johnny Kash, 2 months, with husband Patrick Jamison, worked with planner AZ Events by Marie and event space Jordan’s Corner to make her dream party come to life.

“I had never designed this theme before, which made it even more exciting,” party planner Marie Avila tells PEOPLE. “I immediately started researching the iconic early 2000s brand and focused on all the nostalgic details—the bright colors, butterflies, flowers, sparkle, and fun girly aesthetic. My goal was to create a modern version while bringing back all the memories people loved about Limited Too.”
Avila says the Jamison parents “trusted my creative process from the beginning” and gave her the freedom to “bring their vision to life while adding my own design touches.”

“When they walked into the room, they were beyond excited, and seeing their reaction made all the hard work worthwhile. Their happiness is always my biggest goal, and knowing we exceeded their expectations was incredibly special,” she adds.

Hunter’s birthday party was full of nostalgic moments. There was a glam station featuring mini mirrors, butterfly clips, fluffy pens, and more accessories, a slushy bar from Cactus & Cocktails, and of course, customized signage and food to resemble the popular 2000s shop.
“Every area was designed to feel like stepping into a real Limited Too store,” adds Avila. “Every element was thoughtfully personalized to immerse guests in the theme and create a fun, memorable experience from start to finish.”

Hayley tells PEOPLE that her favorite part was watching Hunter at the glam station. “When she saw all the butterfly clips and hair glitter, she was thrilled to play with them. And it just brought me back to when I would rock the butterfly clips when I was little,” she says.

The proud mom says her daughter is “such a cool little girl.”
“She’s everything I wish I was like when I was young. She’s incredibly smart and funny and strong, and just so sweet,” she continues. “She does get shy at first, but I think because she wants to observe, and then she lets her wild side out. She’s a confident one for sure!”
To make things even more special, Hayley adds that she and Patrick “tried for years [for a baby] to come into our lives, we did IVF and it’s been the best thing that’s ever happened to my husband and me.”
Janell Panicko, the founder of Jordan’s Corner, tells PEOPLE that this was also the first Limited Too-themed party that they’ve ever held in the space — and she’s sure it won’t be the last.
“It was incredibly creative and so well executed. Judging by the guests’ reactions, I wouldn’t be surprised if we start seeing this theme more often. It really struck a nostalgic chord with so many people,” she says.
Hayley says she’s also received tons of compliments on the party and recalls one standout moment from the day.

“Jordan’s Corner was even playing our throwback music, and one of my friends said she walked in and Hilary Duff’s ‘This Is What Dreams Are Made Of’ was playing, and it couldn’t have been more iconic timing to walking into our childhood,” she tells PEOPLE. “I do know a lot of the moms were just living at the glam station! I think that was one of their favorite parts.”

Now that Hunter’s party is over, Hayley jokes that “the bar has been set,” and it’s going to be tough to top it when planning other parties.
“I think bringing any memories back to share with our kids, and the next generation, will be something to play off of!” she shares. “And now we have our son, Johnny Kash, to have an epic party too!”
