Keith Bynum is celebrating an extra special milestone with Evan Thomas!
The former HGTV star took to Instagram on Thursday, July 23, to mark the couple’s “lucky” 13th anniversary and share a sweet tribute to his partner.
“Another wonderful year together. Now a total of 13 lucky years!🍀 And everyday I continue to love you more. I can’t wait to see what this new year holds. I love you very much,” Bynum wrote in the post, adding the hashtags “luckyinlove,” “anniversary,” and “happy” after tagging Thomas’ Instagram handle.
The post, which Thomas commented on with two red heart emojis, featured a carousel of photos of the pair working on a home project together, exploring a mountainous destination, dining out at a restaurant, cozying up together in bed and various other activities.

Bynum and Thomas — who hosted HGTV’s Bargain Block together for five seasons before it was canceled last year — met in 2013 through Match.com when they were both living in Colorado, they told Pride Source in 2021.
After getting engaged in 2017, Bynum later marked the special day five years later by explaining why the pair still hadn’t tied the knot.
“Five years ago today we got engaged but we’ve been too damn busy to actually get married,” Bynum wrote in the 2022 Instagram post alongside a photo of him and Thomas. “One day!”
Their most recent milestone anniversary comes after the Detroit-based designer teased a possible new show he and Thomas might have in the works in response to a fan’s comment on an April Instagram post.
While the post documented Bynum’s process of painting an elaborate mural for a homeowner, it attracted a number of comments from fans expressing how much they wished the couple would get a new show following Bargain Block’s cancellation.
“You’re amazing!! You guys NEED a new show,” one commenter wrote at the time, prompting Bynum to reply, “Y’all might just get your wish 😮.”

The stars revealed Bargain Block was canceled in a June 2025 Instagram post. The fan-favorite series saw the pair working alongside real estate agent Shea Hicks-Whitfield to buy and restore abandoned homes in the Detroit area.
The couple later told PEOPLE in an exclusive interview that they learned about the pending cancellation in February 2025.
At the time, they said, they got an unexpected call from HGTV that forced them to rethink their priorities for their business, NINE Design + Homes, and their future. While struggling with the news of the cancellation was difficult, Bynum said the decision to go public with it was cathartic, as he had a lot of pent-up frustration about it.

“Announcing it helped release a lot of the anger that we had felt for months following [the news],” he told PEOPLE in September 2025.
“We suffered for months, from February until June, and I finally was like, ‘I can’t take it anymore. I’m gonna say something,’” Bynum recalled, revealing, “I’m glad I did because what it did is it helped me get my anger out of me.”
