At one point in the video, the Mirrorball trophy holders can be seen sitting in a grassy area with a young kangaroo. As the baby animal grazed in front of D'Amelio, Irwin announced a special homage to her.
"I think it's only fair that you have a kangaroo named after you. I think that'd be fun. So little Charli, what do you think?" he said, prompting the social media star and her friends to exclaim with appreciation.
"This is the best day of my life. Oh my gosh," she responded.
The Australian native — whose sister, Bindi Irwin, also won Dancing with the Stars in 2015 — left a comment on D'Amelio's TikTok inviting her back to the Australia Zoo.
"Thanks so much for visiting 😊🐨 You’re welcome to come catch up with Charli the kangaroo any time!!" he wrote.

Irwin previously brought some of his winning energy down to the zoo a couple of months after he nabbed first place in the season 34 finale. On Jan. 8, he posted a video to Instagram featuring both his Mirrorball Trophy and some of the animals that live in the wildlife park his family owns and operates.
"The mirrorball has made it home – had to show my friends what I’ve been up to 🪩🐨" he captioned the video of himself showing the prize to some of the zoo residents, including a koala, a bird and a snake. Each creature took time to sniff, bite and slither around the shiny prize.
