Foust’s body was later discovered by an independent search party at 1 Steel Plant Road in Wilder, K.Y., officials announced on Sunday, May 24. An investigation is ongoing.

The Campbell County Coroner’s Office will determine the official cause and manner of death.
Police extended “our deepest condolences to the Foust family and their loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.”
“While we are saddened by this loss, we hope this development can provide the family with some answers and a measure of closure,” the department said. “The Foust family respectfully asks that the media respect their privacy as they grieve.”
Charlie King, one of Foust’s friends, previously said in a Facebook post that Foust was last seen heading to school from a Cincinnati neighborhood around 5:30 p.m. local time on April 27 and “never made it to class.”
