Coleman and Bleu played fictional couple Taylor McKessie and Chad Danforth in the three-film High School Musical franchise, but their romantic relationship never entered real life.
Still, Coleman said some fans have chastised her for sharing photos with Bleu, who married his wife, Sasha Clements, in 2016.
"I'm literally dying right now reading these comments," Coleman said in a video she shared after reading comments online.

"I don't feel the need to like defend our friendship, but also, I'm really sad for humanity right now because the way that people are coming for me for being disrespectful to my sister is just like beside me," Coleman said. "I can understand if like Corbin and I had had a romantic relationship in the past, which, I don't know how many like ways I can say that has just never been a thing."
"When we met, he was 15. I was an adult. That is illegal. So, like, never in my life have I seen him that way," Coleman added, saying she had only meant to post the photo as a way of illustrating she was "the third wheel."
The first High School Musical movie premiered on the Disney Channel on Jan. 20, 2006, becoming the most commercially successful of the channel's original films and generating 7.7 million viewers in its premiere broadcast. The movie's soundtrack reached number one on the Billboard 200, remaining on the list for more than 100 weeks.
