Voicemails for Isabelle is all about finding love in unexpected places — something a few of the film's stars have experienced.
The Netflix rom-com follows Jill (Zoey Deutch), an aspiring baker who leaves voice messages for her late sister. However, she doesn't realize that the phone number has been reassigned to Wes (Nick Robinson), a real estate agent who finds himself falling for the stranger on the other end of the line.
Though it's hard to compete with a premise like that, the movie's cast has found their own rom-com-worthy love stories off-screen.
Deutch surprised fans when she announced her engagement to comedian Jimmy Tatro in 2025, and Nick Offerman, who plays Deutch's eccentric on-screen boss, revealed in a 2012 interview with SundanceTV that he was living on a friend's couch when he met his wife of over two decades, Megan Mullally.

Zoey Deutch and Jimmy Tatro

Voicemails for Isabelle's leading lady went public with her romance on Tatro's Instagram in 2021.
Though she's kept her relationship low-key, Deutch described him as her "actual polar opposite" during an appearance on the U Up? podcast.
“I would be so bored if I was dating someone who agreed with me on everything and thought everything in the same way as me," the actress said in August 2022.
Three years later, the couple shared in a joint Instagram post that they had gotten engaged three months earlier.
Nick Robinson

Robinson has been quiet about his personal life, though the Love, Simon actor was previously linked to musician Samantha Urbani. They last stepped out together at the 2024 premiere of his film Damsel, per her Instagram.
Harry Shum Jr. and Shelby Rabara

Harry Shum Jr., who plays Wes' close friend Andy in Voicemails for Isabelle, has been married to his wife, actress Shelby Rabara, since 2015.
The couple started dating in 2007 and have acted together in shows like Glee.
Nearly four years after they wed, Shum Jr. and Rabara became parents and welcomed a daughter named Xia.
Leah McKendrick and AJ Mester

Leah McKendrick not only wrote and directed Voicemails for Isabelle, but also stars in the film as Andy's bride-to-be, Breeda.
Off-screen, she tied the knot in 2025 with cinematographer AJ Mester.
"✨2025✨ sending you off with a kiss. I got challenged, I got tested, I got lucky, I got married — a bunch!" she wrote in a December 2025 Instagram post. "I've never been so grateful for it all🥂."
Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally

Offerman has been married to his wife since 2003.
He met the Will & Grace star after they were both cast in a play in L.A., and Mullally told New York magazine in 2010 that "they were never apart from then on."
"We just got lucky," Offerman told PEOPLE Now in 2020. "We adore each other. We're two human beings so it's a relationship that requires work and patience and maintenance."
The Parks and Recreation alum continued, "I'm sure I drive her up a tree sometimes and that's when I go and sleep out in the backyard. Then I write her a letter and she lets me back in the house."
Since they've been together, the couple have appeared together in multiple projects, including Parks and Recreation, Will & Grace, Hotel Transylvania 2 and the off-Broadway play Annapurna.

Lukas Gage, who appears in Voicemails for Isabelle as Jill's coworker Arthur, is single as of 2026.
The Euphoria star was previously married to Chris Appleton for several months before they filed for divorce in November 2023.
