Lindsay Lohan is honoring her “joyful” boy, Luai, on his third birthday.
The Freakier Friday actress, 40, shared a touching tribute to her son, whom she welcomed with husband Bader Shammas in 2023. In a post on Instagram on July 17, Lohan reflected on Luai’s impact on her and the bright future he has ahead of him.
“You made our world brighter the moment you arrived, and every day since has been filled with more love, laughter, purpose, and gratitude than we ever imagined possible,” Lohan wrote of Luai. “Watching you grow into the kind, curious, joyful little boy you are has been the greatest privilege of our lives.”

“We are so proud to be your parents,” Lohan continued. “We hope you always stay true to your beautiful heart, dream big, be brave, be kind, and never lose your sense of wonder. May this next year bring you endless adventures, happiness, and love.”
In the post, Lohan included a photo of her family of three at a restaurant, spending some quality time together. The actress sat beside Shammas, a financier, and held Luai on her lap as her son leaned over to his father to give him a kiss.
“You will always be our greatest blessing and the heart of our family. We love you more than words could ever say,” Lohan concluded her post.
Last year, the couple celebrated Luai’s birthday with an adorable dinosaur-themed party, and Lohan shared a lineup of photos from her son’s big day. “You are the deepest love we have ever known, the wildest adventure, and the most beautiful purpose,” Lohan wrote in the post’s caption.

Lohan first revealed her pregnancy on March 14, 2023, with a short-and-sweet Instagram post. Beneath a photo of a baby’s onesie that read “coming soon …,” Lohan wrote in the caption, “We are blessed and excited! 🙏🤍👶🍼.”

Four months later, the actress and the financier welcomed Luai, whose name means “shield or protector” in Arabic. At the time, a representative for Lohan told PEOPLE on July 17 the boy was born “beautiful” and “healthy,” and the new parents were “over the moon in love.”
Lohan recently celebrated her own birthday on July 2 surrounded by several family members, including Shammas, her father Michael, 66, mother Dina, 63, her brother, Dakota, 30, and sister Aliana, 32.
