Jon Gosselin's Wife Stephanie Reshares Son Collin's Fourth of July Message amid Tensions with Mom Kate

Jon Gosselin's wife, Stephanie, is showing support for Collin Gosselin amid public tensions with his estranged mom, Kate Gosselin.

On Saturday, July 4, Stephanie — who wed Jon, 49, in November 2025 — reshared a Fourth of July Instagram post from Collin, 22, in which he thanked members of the U.S. military for their service.

Alongside photos of Collin captaining a boat off the coast of Newport Beach, Calif., Stephanie wrote, "Love seeing you live the life you always deserved."

"And again, LIVE YOUR LIFE!" she added in another Instagram Stories post, adding the Toby Keith song "Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue" in celebration of the holiday.

Collin has previously been candid about his support for his dad and his partners, including Jon's ex Colleen Conrad — whom he has referred to as his “real mom” — amid his public conflicts with his mother. Jon and Conrad dated from 2014 to 2021.

In August 2023, Conrad publicly supported Collin after Kate, who filed for divorce from Jon in June 2009, spoke about his alleged behavioral issues in a July 2023 statement to PEOPLE.

Following Jon and Kate's divorce, Kate, 51, was awarded custody of the couple's eight children. In 2016, Kate sent Collin to a behavioral health institution, later citing what she described as “unpredictable and violent behavior.”

Two years later, Jon was awarded custody of Collin, and he left the behavioral health program. Collin graduated from high school in 2023 alongside his sister Hannah.

Jon married Stephanie, née Lebo, on Nov. 23, 2025. The pair first met at a mutual friend's barbecue in August 2021 after Jon split from Conrad.

Collin and fellow sextuplet Hannah were on hand to see their father walk down the aisle for the second time. Stephanie's own daughter, Juliana, was also there to celebrate. The wedding reportedly had 180 guests, and Collin served as one of Jon's groomsmen.

In 2024, Collin brought forth allegations against his mother, claiming that she abused him beginning when he was 8 or 9 years old. He alleged that he was confined and "isolated" from his other siblings by Kate and that he was "a scapegoat" for his mother's problems and often took "the brute end of things."

After Collin announced that he would be writing a memoir about his childhood, including the allegations he's made against his mother, Kate has spoken out publicly about his claims and made references to taking legal action against her son.

In social media comments earlier this week, Kate wrote that she doesn't "feel I need to defend myself or put it all out there" following Collin's accusations.

In an Instagram post announcing his memoir — titled In the Shadow of Eight: Surviving the Reality of My Childhood and set to be published on Oct. 13 — Collin wrote that the process of writing the book "forced me to revisit some of the hardest moments of my life."

The book cover features a childhood image of Collin with his mother during the height of Jon & Kate Plus 8, which also starred his seven siblings: twins Mady and Cara, now 25, and fellow sextuplets Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Leah and Joel.

“For a long time, I wasn’t sure I’d ever tell this story," Collin wrote in his post. "Growing up, millions of people watched my life on television. People felt like they knew me. They knew my family. They watched me grow up. But there was so much they never saw," he wrote in the caption. “For years, I kept those experiences to myself. Some because I was afraid. Some because I didn’t think anyone would believe me. And some because I just wasn’t ready."

The memoir "isn’t the story people think they know," the 22-year-old added. "It’s the story I’ve lived.”
