Jake Shane may have made a name for himself through his Therapuss podcast, but he still gets nervous speaking with celebrities.
Shane's podcast launched in January 2024 and officially joined Netflix's podcast roster in February 2026.
In a conversation with Role Model for Interview magazine, the 26-year-old podcast host revealed which celebrities, from the dozens he's interviewed, have made him most "nervous."
Role Model, 29, noted that Shane seems "nervous in general" when he starts to interview celebrities, but then he seems to "settle."

"I’ll settle eventually," Shane admitted. "I was pretty nervous for Lorde."
Ironically enough, Shane noted that he first met Lorde, 29, while at a restaurant for Role Model's birthday.
"Love her," Shane emphasized.
The New Zealand singer-songwriter, 29, appeared on the June 4, 2025, edition of the Theapuss podcast.
Shane expressed his love for Lorde on the episode, saying, "I literally called everyone up, and I said, 'This is a 911. Lorde is coming in on Saturday. I'm sick about it and cancel your plans.' "
"I love you," he said. "I really do."
The influencer, who was officially diagnosed with OCD at 21, previously shared how his "hyperfixation" on pop stars helped him find comfort amid his diagnosis.
"Something about female pop stars made the world go quiet. (Hyperfixation, a symptom of OCD itself, was in fact my only comfort)," he wrote for Highsnobiety in 2024. "My OCD wasn’t fixed, and the intrusive thoughts remained the same, but falling into the world of pop stars gave me the confidence to address these issues head-on."
In the same essay, he expressed how Lorde's music helped shape his younger years.

"My pre-teen years were time-stamped by Lorde’s album Pure Heroin and Lily Allen’s entire discography," Shane wrote. "On Lorde’s song 'Ribs,' It felt as if she sang 'This dream isn't feeling sweet. We're reeling through the midnight streets, and I've never felt more alone. It feels so scary getting old' to me personally, as I wondered if my best years were behind me. Thankfully, they weren’t (I mean, I was 12)."

When season 2 of his podcast wrapped, Shane previously told PEOPLE that he had a "crazy" list of interview subjects under his belt and was not expecting the show to find the success it did.
“I never thought I'd have a podcast, let alone a successful one," he said. "I never thought any of this would be possible.”
Since it began over two years ago, Shane has welcomed stars such as Kylie Jenner, Hailey Bieber, Paul Rudd, Selena Gomez and more on the show.
