A man was arrested on allegations of hitting children while they played a game on a cruise ship on Sunday, July 26.
David Crosby II, 44, was charged with two counts of child abuse on Monday, July 27, according to Brevard County, Fla., jail records obtained by PEOPLE. Crosby’s arrest came after he was accused of hitting a child in the face, causing a bloody lip and head pain, and hitting a second child in the stomach, causing stomach pain, according to a probable cause affidavit obtained by PEOPLE.
The alleged incident happened on the Carnival Glory cruise ship. The group of three children was playing a game of tag in a hallway at the same time Crosby was running down a hallway. But he “suddenly stopped running and struck” the children, per the affidavit.
Crosby claimed he did not remember the incident and was “heavily intoxicated,” per the affidavit, which alleges that the incident was captured on on the ship’s security cameras.

Crosby was taken into custody at the Brevard County Jail and released on Tuesday, July 28. He appeared in court on Wednesday, July 29, where he pleaded not guilty, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE. His arraignment is scheduled for Aug. 25.
