Former F1 star Alain Prost was reportedly injured during a home invasion at his house in Switzerland.
Several intruders entered the residence, which is located in the city of Nyon on Lake Geneva, on Tuesday morning, May 19, according to Swiss outlet Blick.
The outlet stated that Prost, 71, sustained a head injury during the incident, and that one of his sons was forced to open a safe on the property.
The public prosecutors' office addressed an incident in which a local home was robbed, though it did not mention Prost by name, per the Associated Press.
“The perpetrators entered the residence while the occupants were present, threatened them, and forced one family member to open a safe before fleeing with the stolen goods,” the prosecutor's office said in its statement.
They added that the perpetrators are still at large.

Local police, who also did not identify a victim by name, said that “several” masked intruders “broke into the house,” per AP.
“Once inside, they threatened the occupants and inflicted minor head injuries upon one family member, under circumstances that remain to be established,” police said, per the outlet.
Police added that a “precise inventory” of the stolen goods is currently being compiled, per AP.

Vaud Cantonal Police did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for comment.
Prost, who was born in France, won four world championships over the course of his illustrious career, per his bio page on Formula1.com.
He was nicknamed “The Professor” for his strategic and intellectual approach to racing, per the site.
