Motorcyclists revved up the vibes for a centenarian’s 105th birthday.
Sporting an all-white outfit with a silver tiara and golden birthday sash, Eunice Minard hopped on the backseat of a Harley-Davidson after a group of about 10 bikers and her family surprised her with an unconventional gift: a motorcycle procession ahead of her July 23 birthday.
“She’s on a motorcycle for crying out loud,” Minard’s great-granddaughter Amy Piero told 13 Action News outside of Taylor Place Assisted Living in Findlay, Ohio, where loved ones gathered for the start of the procession.
Piero added, “She’s such a baddie, and I love her so much.”
The motorcycle procession included a police escort for safety.
After police escorted Minard — a lifelong lover of motorcycles and cars — and the bikers along the birthday excursion, she jokingly said, “They didn’t take us to the jail so that was good.”
Born in 1921, Minard gave some advice for living a long life.
“Eat your fruit and vegetables,” she told 13 Action News.
Granddaughter Lesley Warren also attended the big surprise.
“It’s very special to get to 105. Not a lot of people make it to 100, and 105 is even more rare. Grandma has just had an amazing life. She just keeps on going,” Warren told the outlet.
