Barbara Palvin is getting honest about her journey to motherhood.
The 32-year-old model is expecting her first child, a daughter, with husband Dylan Sprouse, and in a new interview on his Wildmen Podcast, she got real about the mental toll pregnancy had on her during her first trimester.
During the July 14 episode, co-hosted by Brendan Columbus, Palvin said that in the early stages, she didn’t “really have a bump” but was aware of her appearance when she attended Paris Fashion Week in March, just months before debuting her bump at the Cannes Film Festival on May 14.

When speaking about the changes with her body, she said, “The number on the scale really going up super quick and my arms are getting bigger. You don’t have a bump yet, but your stomach is bigger, and your pants don’t fit. I started spiraling.”
Palvin added that having a “good partner” like Sprouse, 33, is “important.” She explained, “Dylan was there reminding me every single time that we’re creating life.”

Earlier in the interview, Palvin spoke about being scrutinized for her body as a teenager. “I started when I was 13, by 17, every single time I would go into the agency, they would tell me I have to lose weight and that my hips were too big,” she claimed.

Then she added. “I just don’t know why people think that — I get it in a sense of like, I’m a public figure, I’m a model, so I’m working with my body, so that should give them the right to comment on my body. But I never felt the need to comment on anyone’s body, or if I had nothing nice to say, I just kept it to myself.”
Palvin has been open about her health journey in years past, having undergone surgery for her endometriosis.
In an Aug. 17 Instagram update, she opened up about her diagnosis and the symptoms she experienced. “For some years now I’ve been dealing with the difficulties that can come with my periods. Fatigue, severe pain, heavy and irregular flow, sleepless nights on the bathroom floor. I thought this was just how it works for me.”
“[The surgery] helped me a lot, and I’m grateful I did it. Early diagnosis and treatment are very important to prevent long-term complications, and now I’m more mindful about my body to act fast if needed,” she added.
