NEED TO KNOW

  • Long-running talk shows like The Steve Wilkos Show and The Kelly Clarkson Show are coming to an end this year
  • In February 2026, Kelly Clarkson announced the current season of her show would be its last
  • Access Hollywood is among the other series that are leaving the daytime TV schedule

The sun has set on several daytime TV shows.

With audience viewing habits continuing to shift, and the entertainment industry evolving, some staples of the TV schedule are going off the air — including long-running syndicated series like Access Hollywood and The Kelly Clarkson Show.

In March 2026, shows like Access Hollywood and Karamo were canceled. But for Kelly Clarkson, choosing to end her show was a personal decision.

"Stepping away from the daily schedule will allow me to prioritize my kids, which feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives," she wrote in a statement shared on her Instagram in February 2026.

Those aren't the only syndicated series leaving the air. Here's everything to know about the daytime TV shows that have been canceled in 2026.

After reporting on the latest entertainment news for nearly 30 years, Access Hollywood is ending in 2026. The series first premiered in September 1996. Access Daily has also been canceled, per Billboard.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, both shows will continue production through the summer before signing off later this year.

"What a run!!! Beyond GRATEFUL. As my Mom and Dad always say, the one constant in life is…CHANGE. Let’s roll. 💙," Access Hollywood and Access Daily co-host Kit Hoover wrote in a March 2026 Instagram post after the cancellation was announced.

Karamo was another March 2026 casualty. The talk show, hosted by Karamo Brown, was canceled after four seasons.

Brown's other show, Queer Eye, also wrapped earlier this year after 10 seasons on Netflix. During a March 2026 appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, when asked about the Queer Eye chapter coming to a close, Brown said he was "now doing new things."

"I got other stuff now. I'm doing me," he added.

According to Variety, production on Karamo has already ceased, but new episodes will continue to air through the summer.

The Steve Wilkos Show premiered in 2007, but in 2026 — after 19 seasons — the series was canceled.

Prior to hosting his own syndicated show, Steve Wilkos was a security guard on The Jerry Springer Show. He also guest-hosted the infamous series more than 50 times, per Wilkos' website.

"I love hosting the show and I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue to make a difference in our guests’ lives," Wilkos said, per Deadline, when the series was renewed for season 19 in May 2025. "I want to thank our loyal audience who tune in every day and engage with us on social media. It’s your unwavering support that makes a season 19 possible."

Sherri

In February 2026, Sherri Shepherd's talk show, Sherri, was canceled after four seasons.

"This decision is driven by the evolving daytime television landscape and does not reflect on the strength of the show, its production — which has found strong creative momentum this season — or the incredibly talented Sherri Shepherd," Lionsgate’s Debmar-Mercury co-presidents Ira Bernstein and Mort Marcus said in a statement to PEOPLE at the time. "We believe in this show and in Sherri and intend to explore alternatives for it on other platforms."

The day after the news was announced, Shepherd posted on Instagram, thanking fans for their support.

"Wow! I am completely overwhelmed by the outpouring of love for me and The @sherrishowtv,” she wrote in the caption.

The final episodes of Sherri are scheduled to air this fall.

The Kelly Clarkson Show is coming to an end after seven seasons.

In February 2026, Clarkson revealed that this season of her talk show would be its last. In a statement posted on her Instagram, the American Idol winner wrote, “I have been extremely fortunate to work with such an outstanding group of people at ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show,' both in Los Angeles and New York."

"There have been so many amazing moments and shows over these seven seasons," she continued. "I am forever grateful and honored to have worked alongside the greatest band and crew you could hope for, all the talent and inspiring people who have shared their time and lives with us, all the fans who have supported our show and to NBC for always being such a supportive and incredible partner."

She added that the decision will allow her to "prioritize" her two kids. Clarkson concluded her statement, "For now, I want to thank y’all so much for allowing our show to be a part of your lives, and for believing in us and hanging with us for seven incredible years."

New episodes of The Kelly Clarkson Show will continue airing through fall 2026.
