Meghan Markle is planning to travel to the UK with her and Prince Harry’s two kids after initially cancelling their plans due to security concerns, Page Six can confirm.
The Duchess of Sussex, along with Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, will touch down in London but have no plans of making public appearances, an insider told Page Six.
Markle was scheduled to attend an Invictus Games event with the Duke of Sussex on Friday, but pulled out at the last minute, per our source.
Additionally, the “Suits” alum, 44, also opted out of appearing at the Royal Hospital Chelsea on the west side of the city on Wednesday.
A rep for Markle and Harry, 41, wasn’t immediately available to Page Six for comment.
Last month, it was reported that the couple would likely not bring their kids to London after being denied taxpayer-funded security protection for their travels across the pond.
An insider told the Guardian that the “Spare” author was “distraught” about the decision and didn’t want his little ones to be “chased by paparazzi wherever they go from the moment they step off the plane.”
Harry had plans for Archie and Lilibet to meet up with their grandfather, King Charles III, who has been battling cancer.
A source claimed that the former royal was “looking at every option to try and get” Markle and their kids to the UK safely and to “keep them safe when they’re on the ground.”
“If he can find a way to do that, he will,” the insider stated.
A royal insider told Page Six Wednesday that if Harry wanted Archie and Lilibet to meet Charles, then it would be possible if Markle came with them.
Earlier this week, Harry arrived in the UK and stepped out to the premiere of his friend Misan Harriman’s documentary, “Shoot the People.”
The following day, Harry learned that he lost his lawsuit against Associated Newspapers Limited (ANL), the Daily Mail UK’s publisher, after accusing them of unlawfully obtaining information about him.
Also on Tuesday, he stepped out to attend an event to promote the 2027 Invictus Games, which will be hosted in Birmingham.
It’s unclear if Harry has plans on reuniting with his brother, Prince William, or other members of the royal family.
