See the first official look at the pastel striped mini totes coming to a Trader Joe's near you for summertime

Trader Joe's mini totes have a new look for summer. The frenzy-causing cult favorite is returning later this month in a suite of striped pastels.
After much speculation online, Trader Joe's released the first look at the new mini totes, which come in muted shades of green, pink, blue, and brown. The striped mini totes, which measure 13 inches long, by 11 inches tall, by 6 inches wide, will hit stores June 17 and retail for $2.99.
"The size is ideal for smaller shopping trips, to pick up those few items you forgot the first time around," teases a press release from Trader Joe's. "Just be sure to pick up a Tote while you can—supplies are limited."

In the past, limited supplies of the Trader Joe's mini totes have led to long lines spilling out of stores down the block — when they didn't sell out in less than an hour, as some locations have. The demand for Trader Joe's mini totes has also resulted in resellers listing them for as high as $1,000 online.
Trader Joe's is aware of the demand, and, in some cases, counterfeit mini totes popping up online. The brand is now taking action against fake mini totes online in an effort to protect its customers.
"We are aware that some knockoff totes are being sold online and have recently filed a lawsuit to protect our customers from being misled," a rep for Trader Joe's tells PEOPLE. "At Trader Joe's, it's very important to us that our customers are getting what they've paid for. That's one of the reasons we only offer Trader Joe's products for sale inside Trader Joe's stores. This enables us to put our customers first, ensuring they're getting authentic Trader Joe's products."

The striped pastel bags are the latest iteration of the original mini blue, green, red and yellow totes that took over the internet for the first time in February 2024. In the years since, Trader Joe's has released Halloween-themed versions and pastel mini totes, as well as mini cooler bags and micro bags (which were less than half the size of the mini totes). Each went for $2.99 (or $3.99 for the cooler bag) and immediately sold out.

Last month, Trader Joe's released a new batch of Mini Insulated Tote Bags in six different designs. The drop featured red and pink stripes, as well as blue and green stripes, and the silhouette of a Trader Joe's store set amongst palm trees in green, orange, blue and purple.
