Taylor Frankie Paul is sharing “a friendly reminder” for those who may think she should take a break from social media.
On Monday, April 20, the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star, 31, reposted a screenshot to her Instagram Stories of a comment a fan left on TikTok, telling her to “Do your healing off of social media.”
The message comes amid months of tumultuous headlines involving the MomTok influencer and her ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen, with whom she shares a 2-year-old son, Ever.

“That sounds like the reasonable answer, however I will be doing the opposite,” Paul replied. “I'll continue sharing on social media showing how ugly healing truly can be.”
“Making and editing videos is my way of processing just like people like to write into a journal.. this is my way and I choose to share it,” she explained. “Saying this with love, most people would need to get off and so understandable [bandaged heart emoji] I'm not most.”
Just one day before, the influencer turned reality star posted a lengthy message to Instagram letting her fans know that she would be documenting “the ugly parts of what healing actually looks like.”
In her post, Paul noted that the “public atrocity” she is currently facing isn’t something she would wish “upon my worst enemy.”
“God undoubtedly had a hand in this because after waiting 7 weeks on the 7th day EXACTLY I received the call all charges dropped,” a direct reference to two separate domestic violence investigations Utah police were investigating regarding alleged altercations between her and Mortensen, 33.
Prosecutors recently announced that they would not be pursuing charges against her following several domestic violence allegations.

In February, weeks before she was set to star in season 22 of The Bachelorette, the mom of three was investigated for domestic assault involving Mortensen.
Her season of the ABC hit series was set to premiere on March 22. However, the network abruptly canceled the entire season three days before the airdate after TMZ published footage from 2023 that showed Paul throwing chairs at Mortensen while one of her children was nearby.
“In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of The Bachelorette at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family,” a Disney Entertainment Television spokesperson said in a statement on March 19.

In Paul’s Instagram post about healing on Sunday, April 19, she admitted she was “nervous to see what’s in store,” but shared her excitement about working on herself by getting back to the basics.
“We’re working on eating, movement, rest, and retraining the nervous system,” Paul wrote. “I’ll be sharing the process, because if my worst is shared better bet I’ll share the rebuilding too.”
