Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are proving that you're never too old to try new traditions!
The actors are filming a new Disney+ docuseries about the BONDS Flying Roos SailGP Team, an Australian professional sailing club that they purchased last year.
And in a video shared by Reynolds, 49, on Instagram on Tuesday, June 2, he and Jackman, 57, gave fans a sneak peek into what they might expect from the new, untitled series as they drink beer from a sneaker — a tradition also known as a “shoey" in Jackman's native Australia.
Jackman, who was born in Sydney, appeared excited as he poured a bottle of beer into the shoe while members of the sailing team sang an Australian drinking song in the background and chanted "down, down, down," before he gulped it down in one.

After finishing his beer, the crowd cheered and The Wolverine star threw his hands in the air.
It was then Reynolds' turn, although he appeared slightly less keen about the "shoey" than Jackman.
After finishing the drink in one go, the duo hugged while Jackman quipped: "Drink responsibly!"
Reynolds shared the series of behind-the-scenes snaps and videos on his Instagram account, captioning the upload: “If at some point in your life you get the chance to spend time on the water and at the beach with the @bondsflyingroos , partake in a shoey with the entire team, then head into the city to catch @thehughjackman and company put on an acting tour de force, and then somehow have the insane privilege of documenting it all for a show on @disneyplus , it's very important you do that.”
He added: “Maybe not the shoey. But definitely do the rest. 📸.”
It has certainly made fans more excited to watch the Deadpool & Wolverine costars' new show, with one writing in the comments section: “Seeing you and Hugh together again makes me so happy and I can't wait for this docuseries it's going to be amazing. I'm also so happy for the Bonds Flying Roos on winning in NY.”
Another said: “This is so beautiful! I'm so happy to see y'all together having fun and celebrating! 🦘🇦🇺👟 I love you, guys! 😍❤️💛,” while another commented: “This made me even more eager to watch that docuseries ⛵.”

Jackman and Reynolds met on the set of X-Men Origins: Wolverine in 2009 and have gone on to become close friends, even engaging in playful public trolling over the years.
"It's gone back so long now … God, this is a classic sign where your feud has gone too long, where you don't even know why or how it started," Jackman told the Daily Beast in 2020.

The pair bought the BONDS Flying Roos together, which was founded in 2019 by Sir Russell Coutts and Larry Ellison, in 2019.
Disney+ announced the new docuseries in a press release shared on May 29; however, it does not yet have a title.

It will follow “a global racing season defined by speed, pressure and high stakes – a stadium-style championship where identical 50-foot catamarans race in close-to-shore courses at speeds of up to 100 km/h,” per the statement.
“This is our first collaboration since Deadpool & Wolverine and we once again anticipate action, comedy, heart but with a lot more water. And (fingers crossed) pirates. We hope there's pirates in SailGP,” said Jackman and Reynolds in the release.
The new series will be available exclusively on Disney+ internationally and on Disney+ and Hulu in the U.S.
