Princess Anne honored her late mother, Queen Elizabeth, on what would have been her 100th birthday.

On Tuesday, April 21, Princess Anne — the only daughter of the late monarch — stepped out to officially open The Queen Elizabeth II Garden in Regent's Park, London.

Upon her arrival, the Princess Royal, 75, was welcomed by Dr. Linda Yueh, the chair of the Royal Parks. She then met with other representatives from the Royal Parks and the Queen Elizabeth II Garden, as well as London's mayor, Sadiq Khan, and the Heritage Minister. As part of the outing, Princess Anne unveiled a plaque to mark the garden's official opening.

Created by the Royal Parks in collaboration with HTA Design, the garden is designed as a "tranquil, fully accessible place for reflection in the heart of London" and opens to the public on April 27. Its features include a wildlife-supporting pond, a flower garden (with species that were significant to Queen Elizabeth) and a viewing platform.

Princess Anne, along with King Charles, Queen Camilla and other members of the royal family, is marking what would have been Queen Elizabeth's 100th birthday with a series of events.

On Monday, April 20, King Charles and Queen Camilla visited a new exhibition, Queen Elizabeth II: Her Life in Style, held at the King's Gallery in Buckingham Palace. The exhibition is the largest-ever exhibit of the late Queen's fashion, featuring 300 items from her wardrobe, and is on view until Oct. 18.

On Tuesday morning, the King and Queen, as well as other members of the royal family and Prime Minister Keir Starmer, visited the British Museum to view the design recommendations for The Queen Elizabeth Memorial, which is set to be built in St. James' Park.
