Country star Lainey Wilson traded in her signature bell-bottoms for something entirely different on her wedding day.
Wilson, 33, married former NFL player and realtor Devlin 'Duck' Hodges on Sunday, May 10, at The Ruskin in Dickson, Tenn., according to Vogue. The singer, who has long been known for her denim flares and Western-inspired style, revealed that walking down the aisle marked the “first time” she wore a dress.
“Feeling royal and confident in my dream dress and veil, made by the incredible Oscar de la Renta team,” Wilson told the publication. “First time wearing a dress and I caught the perfect breeze to show it off! Shout out to my amazing stylist Ali Mandelkorn for bringing this vision to life with Oscar de la Renta.”

Wilson worked alongside stylist Alexandra Mandelkorn and the Oscar de la Renta team to create a custom gown featuring tiny Japanese cherry blossoms around the neckline and scattered throughout the design, according to Vogue. “The cherry blossom represents living in the moment, and that's exactly what we did,” Wilson explained.
The wedding ceremony took place beside a cobblestone ledge at the foot of a waterfall on the Tennessee property. The couple arrived in a white horse-drawn carriage and were married by Wilson's close friend and mentor, Wes Williams.
“My absolute dream ceremony,” Wilson told Vogue. “There's a small waterfall flowing down the hill behind the altar and windows. The waterfall is what convinced us to do the ceremony in this spot.”

Hodges, 30, wore a bespoke suit by D. Lacquaniti featuring a custom bolo tie, cufflinks and a hat pin created with Mud Lowery, along with custom boots by Golden West Boots and a cowboy hat by Charlie 1 Horse.
The celebration concluded with the newlyweds walking through sparklers held by cheering loved ones before driving away in an old white Ford truck.
Wilson's wedding-day look marked a notable shift for the Grammy-winning singer, who has previously spoken openly about her lifelong connection to bell-bottoms. In a past exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Wilson recalled first wearing the style as a “little girl” before fully embracing the look after moving to Nashville in 2011.

“A few years in [to her music career], I realized pretty quickly that as a decent female singer-songwriter, that's not enough. I needed to do something that made me stand out and stand apart,” she told PEOPLE.
Wilson said she eventually made a vow to wear bell-bottoms “every single day,” joking in a 2023 PEOPLE StyleWatch cover story that she would likely still be wearing them at 90 years old because “I don't think anybody's ever seen my ankles!”
Though Wilson once admitted that “a lot of people have never seen me in a dress,” she also made clear there was one fashion choice she would never revisit. “You ain't going to see me in skinny jeans,” she said.

News of the wedding comes more than a year after Wilson announced the couple's engagement on Instagram in February 2025, sharing romantic photos and videos captioned, “4x4xU forever ❤️,” a nod to her song “4x4xU” from her album Whirlwind.
Wilson later opened up about the proposal in an April 2025 TikTok interview shared by WTVF-TV, recalling that she initially convinced herself Hodges would propose before talking herself out of the idea.
“And then as we [pulled] up, I realized that there were different plans,” she said. “So, he had it all set up. He had the candles and the picture frames, and it could not have been more perfect.”

In a later interview with PEOPLE, Wilson revealed Hodges proposed with the ring placed inside a mini cowboy hat-shaped box.
“Man, I tell you what, trying to wrangle me in is, it's a lot,” she said. “But I will say even the hat box situation, he proposed to me with the little hat box, and so just being able to do that and also at the same time be celebrating our engagement and our love, it feels good.”

“The sky is the limit, that's how he acts about everything,” Wilson added. “He's just the place that I get to call home and I'm lucky to have him and I think he's pretty dang lucky to have me, too.”
Wilson and Hodges first stepped out publicly as a couple at the ACM Awards in May 2023, though they had been dating since 2021.
