Kesha's experience at a samurai training class took an unexpected turn.
In a new interview on the Call Her Daddy podcast, the "Joyride" singer, 39, opened up about taking a samurai training class as part of her "healing journey" and ultimately finding someone to make out with.
"I just did a samurai training," Kesha told host Alex Cooper, who was curious how she ended up there. "Well, girl, that is a long story. But let’s just say there’s a place called Samurai Island, and you can go and really learn the wisdom of this samurai. I believe this gentleman is 64th generation samurai."

The Grammy-nominated artist then shared "a huge thing" she learned from the class: "You're not supposed to think with your head. You're not even supposed to think with your heart. You're actually supposed to think literally and listen to your body and your gut."
"The samurai training comes as one of the many things I do for healing," continued Kesha, who's been open about embracing "freedom" following a nearly decade-long legal battle with producer Lukasz "Dr. Luke" Gottwald that was settled in June 2023.
"My healing journey has been mythological, but it's also been so fun. Like, it led me to samurai training," she said.

However, Kesha ended up leaving the training with more than just a healing experience. "I actually ended up making out with the samurai's assistant. But that didn’t mean to be my end goal," she dished. "The goal in all of it, I think, is to live a joyful life in my body, in my power, presently, with gratitude, in authenticity."
The pop star is gearing up to release her new single "Origami" on Friday, May 8 ahead of her upcoming Freedom Tour, which launches on Saturday, May 23 in Chula Vista, Calif., and continues through the end of August.
