NEED TO KNOW
- Eric Trump’s wife, Lara, is pulling back the curtain on the Trump family
- Lara appeared on multiple podcasts this week, opening up about the famous first family
- She also shared who gives the most advice, the best gifts and more
Lara Trump has been pulling back the curtain on members of the first family in multiple recent interviews.
Lara, 43, married the second-oldest Trump son, Eric, in 2014. On Katie Miller's podcast on Tuesday, April 21, the wife of the White House deputy chief of staff gave her a rapid-fire round of superlatives about the Trump family.
"Who gives the most unsolicited advice?" Katie asked.
"Maybe Ivanka," the Fox News host said of her sister-in-law. "I feel like she wants to help. Like, she always means so well. But you know, it's okay. We take it all in stride. It's all good."
She also said that Ivanka was also her pick for the best gift-giver in the family.
"God, and we're the worst. Eric and I are the absolute worst," Lara said. "I mean, she remembers everything. My kids' birthdays, every single time. Don't ask me when the last time was I sent my nieces and nephews an actual birthday gift on time, because I always fail. I'm the worst."
While it may surprise some that the president didn't earn Lara's top spot for advice or gift-giving, he does win one Trump family superlative in her eyes.
"Who is most likely to call just to check in?" Katie asked.
"I would say my father-in-law. Yeah," Lara responded. "He loves a good late-night random call, early morning chit-chat."

As for the last text message she received from the Trump patriarch, Lara confessed, "I think it was a video that the White House put out, and it just said, 'Love, DJT.' It was like a video of some, like, bombing."
"He's proud of it," she added. " It was good."
On her own podcast, The Right View with Lara Trump, this month, Lara also opened up about the most enigmatic member of the Trump family: youngest son Barron.
Just 20 years old, Barron already has goals to follow in his father's footsteps in the business world, sources have told PEOPLE. However, he keeps a low profile and rarely attends White House events; he made headlines when he sat alongside his siblings at his father's State of the Union address earlier this year.
"I don't know if he knows that the internet is obsessed with him," Lara said. "I think he knows that there is a lot of interest. But that's why he likes to lay low. That's why he likes to play it cool. That's why you don't see him all the time."
