In February, Elijah Blue Allman was arrested after allegedly causing a disturbance at an elite prep school in Concord, N.H. — and just months later, news broke that the younger son of Cher was secretly a father.
On Feb. 27, authorities responded to reports of an unwanted guest at St. Paul’s School who allegedly caused a disturbance and acted belligerently in the dining hall, local outlet WMUR reported. Allman, 49, was detained by police and charged with two counts of simple assault, criminal trespassing, criminal threatening and disorderly conduct, the Concord Police Department (CPD) confirmed to PEOPLE at the time.
Despite not having any previous affiliation with St. Paul’s School, Allman identified himself as a prospective parent, the school said, as reported by local outlet Concord Monitor at the time. Prior to this report, the musician had no known children, as multiple outlets pointed out at the time.

Nearly two months after his arrest, Kayti Edwards — the step-granddaughter of Julie Andrews — told The Sun that she has a 15-year-old daughter, Ever, with Allman.
The former model said that she had been friends with Allman for years and got pregnant in 2010 when they briefly became romantically involved. Despite knowing “from day one,” Edwards told the outlet Allman wasn’t involved with the child because “he never wanted to be a parent.”
“He would pop in every couple of years, but would just say hello,” she said, before noting that Ever had only just found out that Allman is her father. Up until then, the teenager had thought he was just a “family friend,” Edwards said.
Before Ever found out, Edwards told the outlet that Allman had recently visited her and wanted to be a part of Ever’s life. “He wanted to see her and have a relationship with her, but he wasn’t in any fit state,” she said. “I had to shelter her from him and, when he gets better, he will appreciate that.”

Edwards said rumors about Allman’s secret child circulated within the family when he told his now-estranged wife, Marieangela King, that he had fathered a child after a 2021 drug overdose. Edwards shared that Cher, 79, reached out last summer to confirm if the rumors were true. “When she heard the news, she was speechless,” Edwards said.
In the same interview, Edwards said Allman previously reached out to her asking to make amends and get to know his daughter. "He wanted to see her and have a relationship with her, but he wasn't in any state," she said. "I had to shelter her from him, and when he gets better, he will appreciate that … He needs to get back to being the guy I once knew, and Cher agrees. We need to get him better."
On Monday, April 20, Allman waived his arraignment on charges related to the prep school incident, local outlet WMUR reported, and his trial for the related charges was set for June 16. He is due in court related to a separate New Hampshire arrest on April 22 and has a hearing regarding his mother's latest request for a temporary conservatorship scheduled for April 24.
