Hilary Duff is opening up about some recent challenges, revealing whether eating extremely hot wings was harder than having a home birth.
The Luck … or Something artist, 38, joined Kylie Kelce for the latest Not Gonna Lie podcast, where they spoke about everything from her career to her recent challenging experiences. Duff, who's a mom of four, revealed whether eating extremely hot wings on Hot Ones was "harder" than her home birth.
"The home birth was much harder," she admitted. "But [Hot Ones] once you get to … like eight and you get to Da Bomb, you're like, 'Not okay.'"
Duff welcomed her first child, son Luca Cruz, in 2012, with her then-husband Mike Comrie. Following their split, Duff began dating Koma. The pair married in 2019 and welcomed daughters Banks Violet in October 2018, Mae James in March 2021 and Townes in May 2024.
Elsewhere in the podcast, Duff shared that she's learned a few slang words from her teenage son — even if he doesn't want her to use them.
"Yeah, I mean, all the time. I'm like, 'What am I gonna say that's not going to completely embarrass him?' Because the second I use it or talk about him, he's like, 'Just don't. Please don't,' " admitted Duff.
"It's very cringe. I don't know if cringe is old now," replied Kelce, who shares four daughters with her husband, Jason Kelce. "Cringe might be old. There's probably a new term for cringe."
Duff then went on to explain that there was a new term her son Luca had said recently.
"Something I heard him say the other day was like, he wanted to take a screengrab of his friend. His mom sent me a picture of them when they were little, like, 'Oh, look at this,' " remembered Duff. "And Luca was like, 'Oh, let me have that.'"
"And like screengrabbed it to torture [his friend] with it," she continued. "Cause now he has a baby photo of him. And so basically they call that…like have you ever seen them FaceTime each other? They don't put their faces on the screen."

Duff explained that her son held the phone up high and said that having your face captured on camera is called "getting clipped."
"And they don't want to get clipped. They don't want a screen grab to be taken of them," she said.
Duff loves to share tidbits of her family life on social media and during interviews. Back in January, during a sit-down with Vanity Fair, the actress and singer rewatched some of her most iconic scenes from her classic works.
While looking at a particular moment in the film A Cinderella Story, where her character Sam was sharing a moment with Chad Michael Murray's Austin, Duff shared her daughter Mae's reaction to one particular aspect of the storyline.
"My 4-year-old has watched this movie and also picked up on like, how could he not know it's you in that mask? And I was like, 'It's the age-old question, honey,' " she said. "And she's like, 'But it's you. You are right there. I don't understand. How does he not know?' I'm like, 'I know.'"
