Food Network is giving a sneak peek at 100 Cooks, an upcoming series that it calls “the biggest home cook competition of all time.”
A preview of the culinary competition’s open gives a first look at Terry Crews as host and content creator Nick DiGiovanni and chef Alex Guarnaschelli as judges.
“Get ready for the biggest, most unpredictable cooking competition in the world!” Crews says in the video. ”These seats are about to be filled with 100 of the best home cooks in the country.”
“We’ve scoured the country looking for the most talented home cooks,” he continues. “Tens of thousands applied. But we’ve invited only the top 100 in America.”
Clips then reveal that the show’s contestants include a physician, an attorney and a firefighter.
“Start cooking!” Crews tells the competitors, who rush to begin whipping up dishes.

“One thing is for certain,” Crews says. “This will be a once in a lifetime experience.”
“Having this opportunity to cook for you truly feels like a gift from God,” one contestant says, while another declares, “I’m living my dream right now.”
The network announced the new series on May 13.
The show will see “100 of America's elite home cooks enter the stadium kitchen arena where they will be challenged to the most unpredictable, professional-chef level cooking competition ever,” according to a release shared with PEOPLE.

“As the competition begins, chefs are selected at random to come to the floor to compete while the 'Challenge Mixer' dictates the challenges they will face ranging from fast-paced trivia contests to 30-minute do-or-die cooking battles,” the release explained.
The winner of each round can opt to keep the cash prize or add it to a growing pot that begins at $100,000.
“As the number of cooks goes down, the grand prize goes up,” the show’s description notes. Ultimately, 99 of the contestants will be eliminated and just one will win the grand prize of up to $250,000.
The show premieres Sunday, June 7, at 9 p.m. ET.
