Pala Negara, a model and former Ex on the Beach star, is mourning the loss of her newborn son.
On Monday, Sept. 7, Negara posted several images and a tribute to her late son, Harmony Hunter, while revealing he’d died “peacefully” on Aug. 28 at 8 p.m. local time, after being born earlier that morning.
Negara wrote on Instagram (warning: post contains images some readers may find distressing), “Creating life with the love of my life has been the most profound healing journey I could have never imagined being written into our journey,” referring to Harmony’s father and her partner, hairstylist Chris Hunter.

“Growing life for nearly ten months, growing our family, falling so deeply in love in a union that was always destined to be, falling in love with the life we have created for our family, birthing life, and then birthing death has been incomprehensible,” the Balinese Australian model, who appeared on the MTV reality series Ex on the Beach Couples: Now or Never in 2023, shared.
Negara continued, “My body feels broken and aches for our baby, the life we grew together. I don’t think we will ever know how to move through this heartbreak,” while sharing multiple photos and videos of their late son and her other two children, as well as images of her with Hunter taken during her pregnancy.

The reality star explained that Harmony, who was due on Aug. 8, had been born on Aug. 28 at 4:27 a.m.at 42 weeks and five days “in the most powerful birth of our lives.”
She said that he’d died “peacefully” in their arms at 8 p.m. that night.

Negara, who lives in Byron Bay in Australia, wrote, “Our hearts sit in deep gratitude to our friends who have loved and cared for us this past week, to our community, to Lismore Hospital who worked tirelessly to save Harmony and treat me for Post Partum Hemorrhage, the Neo Resc team who flew to us and continued to spend hours trying to save our little boy, and to Gold Coast University Hospital who held us so deeply as we spent three nights and four days in Comfort Care as a family.”
“We will soon lay our angel to rest on Bundjalung Country where he was born, the land that has held my family and continues to hold our family,” she said.
Negara concluded, “We know you will return to us again old soul. We can feel you surrounding us, our Angel,” alongside a white heart emoji.
Hunter also paid tribute to Harmony on his Instagram Stories, writing, alongside a photo, “The most perfect son a dad could ever ask for. I know you will return to us,” adding a red heart emoji.
