Fans of Harlan Coben have no shortage of opportunities to see his suspenseful stories brought to life on-screen.
Netflix alone has added 13 titles based on his novels to its catalog since launching its partnership with the best-selling international author in 2018. At the time, Deadline reported that Coben signed on as an executive producer to develop 14 of his 30 novels into English and foreign language series and movies.
The five-year deal came after a French adaptation of his book No Second Chance and Safe starring Michael C. Hall, did well on the platform. Netflix extended its partnership with Coben for another four years in 2022, expanding the agreement to include adaptations of his popular 12-book Myron Bolitar series and its spinoff Win, per Deadline.
While fans may have to wait a bit longer for those projects to arrive, there’s already plenty to stream. Netflix even has its own Coben collection to browse.

Safe

Unlike the rest of Coben's Netflix titles, Safe is not based on one of his novels.
The author wrote and created the 8-episode British crime drama — which starred Hall as a pediatric surgeon whose daughter goes missing after a party — following the success of his first foray into TV, The Five, per Variety.

The Stranger

Based on Coben's 2015 novel of the same name, The Stranger followed Adam Price (Richard Armitage) as a man whose seemingly perfect life unravels after a stranger tells him a devastating secret about his wife, per Deadline.

Coben's 2007 novel, about a man who reinvestigates his sister's decades-old disappearance after a body surfaces that's linked to her case, was previously made into a Polish series for Netflix.
In April 2026, the streamer announced that it would be adapted once again for an English miniseries starring Tom Bateman and Michelle Keegan.

In 2021, Netflix released a Spanish adaptation of The Innocent, which follows a man whose life is upended after he is convicted of homicide for accidentally causing another man's death while breaking up a fight, per Forbes.
After serving his sentence and attempting to start over, a mysterious phone call threatens to unravel everything he's rebuilt.

Netflix also adapted Coben's 2002 novel Gone for Good into a French-language series that year.
The thriller follows a man whose life is thrown into turmoil after his girlfriend disappears and long-buried secrets surrounding the deaths of his brother and first love begin to resurface.

Coben's book Hold Tight was also developed into a Polish miniseries for Netflix in 2022. Like the novel it's based on, the shows follows an affluent teen who goes missing after his friend dies.

Keegan starred in this 2024 British thriller as a woman still grieving the brutal murder of her husband Joe (Armitage) when she recognizes him, alive and well, in her house on a nanny-cam. According to TheWrap, the adaptation relocated the original story from the U.S. to the U.K.
