Abby Phillip's family is growing!
The CNN news anchor, 37, is pregnant and expecting her second baby with her husband, Marcus Richardson, a rep for Phillip confirms to PEOPLE. Phillip's little one will join big sister Naomi, 4, this coming October.
"We are overjoyed to be expanding our family!" Phillip tells PEOPLE. "Naomi is already preparing to be an excellent big sister to the little boy who will join us later this year."

"Our journey to a second child looked a little different from our first. Like so many families, we were able to conceive with the help of IVF," she continues. "In this moment, I'm both grateful that we were successful in God's perfect timing and I'm also holding hope in my heart for all the families who are still waiting in their journey."
"The process was challenging to manage, both emotionally and physically, but I'm thrilled to say we arrived at a beautiful place."
Back in 2021, PEOPLE spoke with Phillip after she welcomed her daughter Naomi.
"Marcus and I are so happy to announce that Naomi Angelina Richardson arrived bright and early on Monday morning perfectly happy, healthy and ready to eat. Mom and baby are feeling great," she said at the time.

"Her first name means 'pleasant one' and she is already living up to it and spoiling her mom and dad as a blissfully calm baby," continued the journalist. "Her middle name Angelina is a tribute to my beloved maternal grandmother who passed away in 2014."
That September, Phillip spoke with PEOPLE and opened up about being pregnant while covering the 2020 election.
"Shortly after the [2020 presidential] election, I was pregnant covering all the madness while in my first trimester and having morning sickness," she said. "Working with the intensity that I did post-election while carrying a child was the hardest thing I've ever done. Between that and the delivery, I could accomplish anything at this point."
