Anna Faris is teasing a potential The House Bunny sequel, nearly 20 years after the release of the original comedy.
During an interview with Entertainment Tonight at the premiere of Scary Movie on June 3, the actress shared that there is still some "interest" in a sequel to the Adam Sandler-produced comedy.
"I would love to talk to you about House Bunny stuff," Faris joked. "And it turns out, there's interest. I never thought that dream would ever be realized either, and it's too soon to say anything, but it turns out that movie is beloved, and that character too."

Faris has been candid about her love for the comedy movie — and about how much work it took for the film to come to fruition.
Speaking with Happy Sad Confused podcast host Josh Horowitz on June 4, the Scary Movie alum shared that she pitched the concept two dozen times before Sandler opted to produce the film.
"We pitched that movie 24 times, all around L.A., and on the 24th time, it was Happy Madison, Adam Sandler's company," she recounted. "And he was like, 'All right.' We didn't even get to pitch to him."
Faris continued of Sandler, "He saw me in the waiting room, and he said, 'What are you doing here?' And I said, 'I'm here to pitch you a movie,' and he said, 'What's it about?' And I said, 'A Playboy bunny who gets kicked out of the mansion.' And he was like, 'Okay, all right. That's pretty funny.' "
"We walked away. And then we sold it," Faris added. "That was like our last [opportunity]. There was no one else. Like, it was amazing. And then six to eight weeks later, I was on set in L.A. with a crew of like 200 people."

In 2024, Faris spoke to PEOPLE about her love for the titular character — and her hilarious idea for a sequel.
"I always dream," said the star, adding of her vision for a sequel: "For a while, I was like, Shelley should be a bad country singer, and then I was thinking, no, she should be a CIA interrogator."
"Her skill is disarming people because she is perceived, and she is, as so open and nonjudgmental. So I was imagining Shelley saying," Faris continued, playfully adding in the character's voice, "'Oh, what do I do for work? I'm a CIA interrogator.' Let's write a script. I would love that."

Faris added that she loved playing Shelley in the 2008 film because she was "a character who was not competitive with other people, and who was really wonderful."
"That made me want to lead my life with compliments," she told PEOPLE. "It felt like kind of a way to combat jealous feelings."
