From ‘Dancing with the Stars’ to ‘Scrubs,’ fans can get ready to watch a slew of new episodes this fall

Summer may be in full swing, but ABC has already released its fall 2026 schedule — and its lineup is full of fan-favorites.
Other than the decision to move the third season premiere of High Potential from its usual fall Tuesday night slot to releasing in 2027, the alphabet network will continue airing Dancing with the Stars, Abbott Elementary, Grey’s Anatomy and more in their longtime weeknight spots.
In fact, there will be no new shows, as ABC is carrying on with their pre-existing primetime schedule for the 2026-2027 season.
“This is the first time in the history of the network, since 1948, that we have renewed every scripted series at ABC,” Ari Goldman, ABC’s senior vice president of content strategy and scheduling, told Variety in May 2026. “We’ve also grown the scripted count up from the last in each of the last two years. So for us, it’s, ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.’ “
Here is a look at ABC’s fall 2026 schedule.
ESPN’s Monday Night Football

While you won’t be able to catch all the games on ABC this upcoming season, there will be 10 out of the 17 Monday night games “simulcast” or aired both on ESPN and ABC, with seven of the games being in the first nine weeks.
Monday Night Football will kick off with the Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs facing off on September 14 at 8:15 p.m. ET. A list of games that will premiere on ABC can be found on the 2026-2027 season schedule.
A Wild Card game, a Divisional Round matchup and the Super Bowl LXI will also be simulcast on ABC this upcoming season.
Dancing with the Stars

Dancing with the Stars season 35 will premiere on Tuesday, September 15, at 8 p.m. ET.
The reality competition series will also have a special night on Wednesday, September 16 at 8 p.m. ET.
Reality stars Maura Higgins and Ciara Miller, as well as Savannah Bananas baseball player Jackson Olson, will be among those competing for the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy.
R.J. Decker

R.J. Decker, which stars Scott Speedman as a “disgraced newspaper photographer and ex-con” pursuing a new career as a private investigator, will return for its second season this fall.
R.J. Decker season 2 will premiere on September 15, at 10 p.m. It will take the place of High Potential’s previous Tuesday night spot.
Scrubs

Last year, ABC revived Zach Braff and Donald Faison’s “bromance”, more than 15 years after the original show ended its ninth and final season.
The latest iteration of Scrubs, which premiered in February 2026, will be back for a second season on September 30, airing on Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. ET.
Abbott Elementary

Season 6 of Abbott Elementary will return this fall on October 7 at 8:30 p.m. ET on Wednesdays.
Notably, the Philadelphia-based series will reach its milestone 100th episode during its upcoming run.
Shark Tank

Finishing off ABC’s busy Wednesday night lineup will be season 18 of Shark Tank, with the regular “shark” entrepreneur investors including Barbara Corcoran, Lori Greiner, Robert Herjavec, Daymond John, Kevin O’Leary and Daniel Lubetzky returning for the fall season.
Shark Tank’s new episodes will start airing on September 30 at 9 p.m. ET.
Guest sharks will also make appearances, including MrBeast, Mindy Kaling and J.J. Watt, among others, according to Deadline.
9-1-1

The Los Angeles Fire Department Station 118, and Los Angeles Police Department’s Athena (Angela Bassett) will be back on your television screen this fall, with the 9-1-1’s 10th season.
The show will air in its usual fall Thursday night spot at 8 p.m. ET, beginning October 15.
9-1-1 Nashville

The Nashville-based addition to the 9-1-1 series was renewed for another installment weeks before its season 1 finale premiered.
In addition to cast regulars returning, Ryan Phillippe will also be joining the spinoff’s roster.
9-1-1 Nashville season 2 will debut on Thursday, October 15 at at 9 p.m. ET, right after the original 9-1-1.
Grey’s Anatomy

Grey’s Anatomy is gearing to come back for season 23 on October 15 at 10 p.m. ET, continuing its longtime Thursday night run.
However, this upcoming installment may look slightly different than last as Dr. Teddy Altman (Kim Raver) and Dr. Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd) said goodbye to Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital in the season 22 finale.
20/20

The investigative news show hosted by David Muir and Deborah Roberts, will begin airing season 49 episodes on Friday, September 25 at 9 p.m. ET.
Celebrity Wheel of Fortune

ABC will also feature Celebrity Wheel of Fortune in its fall lineup with new season 7 episodes airing on Friday, October 2 at 8 p.m. ET.
The gameshow will bring back Ryan Seacrest as a host for his second season, who will be joined by Wheel of Fortune icon Vanna White.
America’s Funniest Home Videos

Another long-running, ABC favorite will be returning this fall for season 37.
America’s Funniest Home Video’s new season will continue to be hosted by Alfonso Ribeiro and will air Sunday nights at 7 p.m. ET, starting on September 27.
The Wonderful World of Disney

The Wonderful World of Disney will continue to bring Disney films to ABC on Sunday nights at 8 p.m. ET for both older films and television premieres of newer ones.
While a list of movies or dates has yet to be confirmed, it is likely Hocus Pocus will be featured in October.
College Football

Select college football games will be broadcast on ABC network through “ABC Saturday Night Football Presented by Capital One” at 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday nights, starting August 29.
