Authorities in Florida are investigating the murders of four family members — across three generations of the family — that took place over the weekend.
The names of the victims have not been released.
Police responding to reports of a "disturbance" in a Plant City, Fla. home on Sunday, May 3 found four individuals, the Plant City Police Department said in a statement this week.
A 4-year-old and a 4-month-old were found with gunshot wounds and pronounced deceased at the scene, police said.
Officers also found a 28-year-old woman, identified as the children's mother, with gunshot wounds; she died after being taken to the hospital.
Another child, whose age or relationship to the victims police did not disclose, was found physically uninjured at the residence.
The investigation led police to another residence a few miles away where they found a 55-year-old identified as the adult woman's mother and children's grandmother, Plant City police said in the statement.
A neighbor who lives on the same street where the grandmother was found told FOX 13 they saw disturbances on the Friday before the bodies were found.
A "disagreement" took place that day which led to the "wife" calling the police, and eventually her mother came along, John Czarniak told the outlet.
"The night before everything happened, we noticed him putting on a bulletproof vest and then loading a large duffel bag into the trunk of his car," John Czarniak told the outlet, which did not clarify who was being referred to by Czarniak.

As the investigation enters its third day, authorities have neither named nor arrested any suspects.
Investigators are calling on surrounding residences to review surveillance or doorbell footage between 5:30 a.m. and 7 a.m. on Sunday, and to check for any video showing a woman with three children walking in the vicinity of the two homes where the bodies were found.
