Yvette Nicole Brown and her husband Anthony Davis stepped out to support Henry Winkler at the premiere of his new movie — and because Davis wanted to meet the legendary actor.
Brown, 54, and Davis, her husband of more than a year, stepped out together at the Los Angeles premiere of Winkler and Bob Odenkirk's new movie Normal on Wednesday, April 15. Though neither Brown nor Davis stars in the movie, Brown tells PEOPLE that she simply wanted to support her friend Winkler, 80.
"I am friends with Henry Winkler and I adore Bob. Henry Winkler and I met on Merry Christmas, Drake and Josh, which is probably 10, 15 some years ago," she says. "So I love him and Happy Days and all that. Anytime I can see him, I'm excited."
When PEOPLE asked Davis why he decided to come along, Brown says, "Because he wants to meet Henry Winkler."
"I want to meet Henry Winkler," Davis confirms. "He was there for me in my childhood. I'll be there for him while he's doing any project he does. I'm there."
"And we know it's going to be great. Bob did this, so we know it's going to be great," Brown adds.

Brown and Davis, an actor who has appeared on JD's Place, The Family Business: New Orleans, and the movie He Wasn't Man Enough, met as friends in their 20s and reconnected romantically in 2021. Brown announced their engagement during a guest stint as a cohost on The View in 2023, and they tied the knot in a ceremony held in Los Angeles in December 2024.
On the red carpet, Davis and Brown said they are still enjoying post-wedding bliss. "It's been really great. We've realized we don't get sick of each other. We're together almost 24 hours a day and he's like hanging out with my best friend," Brown tells PEOPLE. "It's just been wonderful."

"We already felt like we've been married," Brown says. "For years," Davis adds, finishing her sentence. "Plus, she's just the best. She is absolutely the best. She's not just talented. She's a great wife. She's a great person. She's an incredible writer, an incredible director. You'll need to watch out. She's got some stuff coming."
In Normal, Odenkirk, 63, plays a man named Ulysses who has recently taken on a new position as sheriff in the titular Midwestern town on a temporary basis. Chaos erupts when a bank robbery hits an otherwise unassuming town, exposing secrets the town's mayor (Winkler) and others have hidden from Ulysses.
Normal is in theaters April 17.
