Most wedding dresses get packed away after the big day. But for some celebrities, a gown that carries so many memories is simply too special to wear only once.
Over the years, a number of stars have found reasons to revisit their bridal looks. Kelly Ripa has famously repurposed the simple dress she wore when she eloped with Mark Consuelos in 1996, even using it as a swimsuit cover-up, while Queen Camilla has repeatedly reworked elements of the ensemble she wore to marry King Charles in 2005.
Others have reworn the gowns for special events. Adrienne Bailon slipped back into her wedding gown for a jewelry campaign photo shoot, while Troian Bellisario transformed pieces of her bridal look into a chic outfit for a 2020 Golden Globes afterparty.
Here are 11 celebrity brides who have reworn their wedding gowns.

During an April 2016 episode of her daytime show with then–co-host Michael Strahan, Ripa explained how she'd always envisioned her wedding dress as a long-term wardrobe staple.
"I didn’t buy it as a wedding dress. I just bought it because it was really pretty," she said. "I said to myself, ‘I bet if I buy this, maybe it will be an investment piece. Maybe I will wear it more than once.' "
In PEOPLE's 2025 World's Most Beautiful issue, Ripa revealed exactly how she's rewearing the garment.
"I took the tags off to wear it to our wedding, and I wear it all the time now as a beach cover-up," she told PEOPLE, adding that the "off-the-rack" piece from Barneys New York cost her "a lot of money" back then.

Queen Camilla has revisited her scallop-edged Robinson Valentine dress and coat — originally debuted at her 2005 civil ceremony with King Charles — on multiple occasions.
The royal gave the outfit a second outing at the National Assembly of Wales in June 2007, updating it with a beige hat and a pearl necklace. In April 2025, she marked her and King Charles’ 20th wedding anniversary by rewearing it once more during a state visit to Rome.

Emma Stone surprised fans at the 2022 Met Gala by wearing a never-before-seen look from her closet — one of her wedding outfits! The Oscar winner first wore the Louis Vuitton minidress with sheer straps and a feathered hem at the afterparty for her 2020 wedding to Dave McCary.
"Sartorial revival," the Vuitton Instagram account captioned a photo of Stone standing alongside fashion designer Nicolas Ghesquière and Squid Game star Hoyeon.

On Nov. 11, 2019, Bailon celebrated two milestones: three years of marriage to Israel Houghton and the first anniversary of her jewelry brand, XIXI.
To honor both, she launched a Happily Ever Wedding collection — featuring pieces inspired by her own nuptials, including a replica of her square-cut engagement ring and rose gold wedding band — and even slipped back into her original wedding dress.
For the occasion, the Cheetah Girls star rewore her custom sequined mermaid gown designed by Ryan Patros and Walter Mendez from Ryan and Walter Bridal.
“I had it professionally preserved right after the wedding, and it was stored in a box in my glam room,” Bailon told PEOPLE in 2019. “It was the exact same as it was on my wedding day.”

Keira Knightley can't get enough of one Chanel number! The Pride and Prejudice actress wore the grey tulle minidress she wore to marry James Righton five years before their May 2013 nuptials and again a few months after.
Knightley first wore the dress at a pre-BAFTA bash in 2008 beneath a black coat, and again on her wedding day with a white tweed jacket and flower crown, Vogue reported.
For the frock's third run, the star styled it over a sheer long-sleeved shirt with delicate embroidery at a December 2013 gala.

Phillips broke out the strapless ballgown with a waist-defining black bow she wore for her 2007 wedding to screenwriter Marc Silverstein for a special episode of Busy Tonight in 2019.
"Yes. I really pulled out my wedding dress from 12 years ago and wore it on my show tonight," she joked on Instagram at the time. "It basically fit except my stupid upper rib cage, which grew after my 2 babies. No one tells you about that s—. But babies expand your rib cage so, just be aware."
Phillips and Silverstein have since divorced.

Look familiar? Alex Borstein had a memorable night in a memorable gown (again!) at the Emmy Awards in 2018.
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel star won the award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series in the same silver gown she wore to marry Jackson Douglas in 1999. The actors split in 2014 in a divorce finalized three years later, and Borstein addressed her outfit's history on the Emmys red carpet.
"The marriage didn't last, but the dress did, and I wanted to give it new life — so now it's my Emmys dress," she told Glamour magazine at the time. "That's the truth."
