Scottie Scheffler is one of the biggest names in golf, and while his career continues to thrive, his life off the course has also been making headlines. The Masters champion recently welcomed his second child with his wife, Meredith Scheffler, and she’s been right by his side through it all—even attending the 2026 tournament just days after giving birth.
While Scottie continues to dominate the sport, Meredith remains one of his biggest supporters. Learn more about her below.
How Did Scottie Scheffler Meet His Wife?
Scottie and Meredith met when they were in high school. They attended Highland Park High School in Texas and started dating. During college, the two attended rival universities — Scottie went to University of Texas, while Meredith attended the University of Texas A&M. Despite being separated for a few years, though, the two stayed together and made the relationship work. Her Instagram remains private as of May 2025.
When Did Scottie Scheffler Get Married?
Scottie proposed to Meredith in June 2020, and they got married just six months later in December 2020. The lovebirds has a Christmas-themed wedding at Arlington Hall in Dallas, Texas. They were together for six years before they tied the knot.
What Does Meredith Scheffler Do?
Aside from being Scottie’s biggest fan, Meredith also helps run an event-planning business. Her LinkedIn reveals that she’s the Co-Founder and Vice President of the company With Purpose. Meredith’s job requires her to coordinate and host fundraising events in Texas. Meredith graduated from Texas A&M in 2018 with an Honor’s Degree in Communications and a Business Minor.
During a previous interview with Essential Golf, Meredith discussed her passion in giving back to the community around her.
“Everyone deserves to have dreams and goals and to be able to pursue those dreams and goals,” Meredith told the outlet. “I believe everyone has unique gifting. I love being part of an organization that is showing kids their giftings and giving them a chance to not only discover those gifts but see who God created them to be.”
Meredith Spent 2 Years In Zambia
After graduating college, Meredith took part in a two-year internship program in Zambia. However, she and Scottie were able to maintain their relationship through long distance and he proposed shortly after she returned home from the trip.
Scottie & Meredith Have 2 Kids Together
In May 2024, Meredith welcomed her first child, a son named Bennett, with Scottie. The following year, the spouses took their baby boy to the 2025 Masters, and the PGA star even shared the moment with his fans on Instagram. As seen in a carousel post, Bennett was all smiles in multiple photos, and his dad captioned the post, “Memories made. Safe to say I think Bennett had fun at his first par 3 contest.”
The couple has since expanded their family. In March 2026, Meredith gave birth to their second son, Remy. Just days later, she made headlines by attending the Masters to support Scottie, with both of their children joining them at Augusta for the family-friendly Par 3 Contest.
