Ruby Rose is alleging that Katy Perry sexually assaulted her in a nightclub nearly 20 years ago, a claim the singer's rep denies as "categorically false."
The Australian model-actress, known for roles in Orange Is the New Black and John Wick: Chapter 2, made the claims in posts shared on Threads on Sunday, April 12.
Rose, 40, replied to an article shared by Complex about Perry reacting to Justin Bieber's Coachella performance. She claimed in the comment section: "Katy Perry sexual assaulted me at spice market nightclub in Melbourne. Who gives a s— what she thinks."
In a subsequent reply, Rose added that she was "only in my early 20s" at the time of the alleged incident and "It has taken almost 2 decades to say this publicly."
"Though I am so grateful to have made it long enough to find my voice, it just shows how much of an impact trauma and sexual assault takes," she wrote.
A rep for Perry denied the claims in a statement shared on Monday, April 13. “The allegations being circulated on social media by Ruby Rose about Katy Perry are not only categorically false, they are dangerous, reckless lies," says Perry's rep. "Ms. Rose has a well-documented history of making serious public allegations on social media against various individuals, claims that have repeatedly been denied by those named."

In another upload, Rose alleged that Perry, now 41, "saw me 'resting' on my best friends lap to avoid her and bent down, pulled her underwear to the side and rubbed her disgusting vagina on my face until my eyes snapped open and I projectile vomitted on her."
Rose also wrote that "as a woman, for a myriad of reasons, opening up about W on W [women-on-women] violence and sexual abuse, seems to be 100 times harder than speaking about the male predators, at least for me."
The star said she is "not interested in filing a report over this" when she responded to a Threads user who claimed she was speaking out in connection to a Twitter feud she once had with Perry in 2017, when she slammed Perry's song "Swish Swish" at the time.
"[Perry] is more than welcome to sue me (she won’t, because it happened, I have photos and it was literally in public and witnessed by multiple people)," alleged Rose. "Plus there is so much more that happened in the years leading up to her silly song she won’t want me discussing. The psychological manipulation was strong with that one."
Rose also claimed Perry "wrote and signed the letters of recommendation for my US visa application, in the 2010s."
