Reba McEntire says her wedding to Rex Linn may be a marathon event.
The country music star, 71, gave an update on the couple’s plans for their nuptials in a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, telling the outlet, “It’s not going to be a wedding day — it’s going to have to be three or four days.”
She also shared that she and her Happy’s Place costar, 69, will tie the knot surrounded by their menagerie of animals.
“Well, see, not only do we have granddogs, we have long-horned steers, we have donkeys, we have horses, and dogs,” McEntire said. “So it’s going to be a very unusual wedding on the farm.”
When ET’s reporter suggested that the bride-to-be should make her entrance on a horse, McEntire replied, “Gator would love that. That’s my horse.”

The “I’m a Survivor” singer also addressed whether any of the couple’s celebrity friends have been tapped to sing at their wedding. She said the fact that they have such a long list of options is a “problem.”
“Rex has his list, and I have my list, and if we leave anybody out we’re going to hurt somebody’s feelings,” she explained. “So not sure how the music is going to roll.”
As for the timeline for their wedding, McEntire told ET that their big event keeps getting pushed back.
“Every time we plan on something, he [Linn] gets a job, or we get back into the third season [of Happy’s Place] and hoping for more,” she said. “And you can’t plan something that we think is going to be a week or two.”

Last year, McEntire — who was previously married twice — shared that her wedding to Linn will be “very different.”
“A Reba/Rex wedding is going to be very different,” she said on the 3rd Hour of Today on Dec. 1. “It’s going to be low-key, lots of fun, lots of people, lots of food. Our big motto is just have fun.”

McEntire and Linn have known each other since 1991, but it wasn’t until 2020 that their relationship turned romantic. They reconnected following the death of McEntire’s mother and grew closer during quarantine amid the pandemic.
That October, the Reba alum revealed that she and Linn were dating during an episode of her podcast Living & Learning. Gushing about her then-boyfriend, she described Linn as “very interesting, very funny [and] very smart.”
“It’s good to have a person to talk to, laugh with, get into subjects about what’s going on. Discussions about our past, our family, funny stories, him being an actor, me being an actress,” she continued. “And he’s very into my music. I’m very into his career.”
Linn popped the question to McEntire during a winter walk on their Tennessee ranch on Christmas Eve in 2024. McEntire told PEOPLE in an October 2025 interview that the holiday proposal was a “total surprise” and “very romantic.”
“I was thrilled to death,” she added of their engagement.
The couple kept their happy news under wraps for months before PEOPLE confirmed their engagement after an E! News reporter referred to them as fiancés on the 2025 Emmy Awards red carpet on Sept. 14.
“It happened a few months ago, and they are very happy,” a source told PEOPLE at the time.
After the engagement news, McEntire told PEOPLE that she’s “never been loved by a man like Rex Linn.”
“Rex is a very tender-hearted man, and I just love him with all my heart,” she said. “He’s a good guy.”
