Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank have been together for over a decade.
The two first met in 2010 and, eight years later, they were engaged. After getting married on Oct. 18, 2018, Eugenie and Brooksbank have welcomed two children together: August, born in 2021, and Ernest, born in 2023. On May 4, 2026, the princess announced on Instagram that she was expecting a third child, alongside a rare photo of her sons.

Princess Eugenie and Brooksbank first met during a 2010 ski trip in Verbier, Switzerland. Princess Eugenie said it was "love at first sight" — and Brooksbank agreed.
"We met when I was 20, he was 24," she later said. "[We] fell in love. We have the same passions and drive for life."

2010: Princess Eugenie reveals her first impression of Jack Brooksbank

Queen Elizabeth's granddaughter shared her first thoughts about Brooksbank in a pre-wedding interview, revealing: "I thought, 'What a silly hat!' And I thought, 'Who's that?'"
She continued, "And then [looking at Jack], you came over and shook my hand, and I was all butterflies and nervous."

Princess Eugenie shared that she called her mother, Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, to tell her about the new guy she had met.
Luckily, the royal didn't have to wait long to learn whether the feeling was mutual.
"I remember being like, 'I really, really like this guy, I really want him to like me too,' and then you gave me this huge windscreen wiper wave, and that was it: 'Right, he likes me,'" she said.

After Brooksbank landed a new job with property tycoon Mike Meldman (one of George Clooney's business partners), the couple decided to split their time between the U.K. and Portugal. May 4, 2026: Princess Eugenie announces she's expecting her third child

Hours after wishing Brooksbank a belated 40th birthday, the palace announced that Eugenie was expecting her third child in the summer of 2026.
"August (aged 5) and Ernest (aged 2) are also very excited to have another sibling join the family," read Buckingham Palace's statement. "His Majesty The King has been informed and is delighted with the news."
She later revealed the news on Instagram with a photo of August and Ernest looking at an ultrasound.
