Police officers ‘banned’ over ‘inappropriate’ comments at Prince William, Kate Middleton home

Five UK police officers have reportedly been banned from working at royal residences for allegedly making “inappropriate” comments outside Kensington Palace, where Prince William and Kate Middleton live in London, according to The Sun.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed to Page Six on Wednesday that they received a public complaint about the officers’ conduct in October 2024.

The five officers allegedly “behaved inappropriately on several occasions” between August 2023 and September 2024, a rep for the Met Police told us.

Following an internal investigation, the Met Police found that the allegations against the officers did not “meet the threshold for misconduct.”

The Met Police told us in a statement, “The reported behavior falls below the high standards expected of officers, particularly those in frontline protective roles. As a result of our internal investigation into this matter, the officers received reflective practice to consider their actions and identify learning for the future.

“It remains a priority for the Met to ensure all officers and staff uphold the highest standards of professionalism, so we can continue to build trust and confidence with those we serve,” the statement added.

According to The Sun, a female Kensington Palace employee first complained about the five officers’ alleged conduct in October 2024.

One of the officers allegedly said Kensington Palace was “full of Hitlers,” while another officer allegedly tried to add the female employee on Facebook.

A source told The Sun, “Comments from the officers were perceived as misogynistic though the allegations were tame and none were sexual in nature.”

The outlet reported that senior Royal Household staff decided to ban the officers and revoke their passes.

William, 43, and Kate, 44, were not involved in the ruling, but they were informed of the matter, per The Sun.

Page Six has reached out to Kensington Palace for comment.

The Prince and Princess of Wales live and work out of Kensington Palace, though they moved to Forest Lodge in Windsor with their kids, Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince Louis, 8, in October.

The royal couple is paying $411,435 a year to rent the eight-bedroom Georgian mansion and two cottages on the grounds, according to The Times.

But Page Six previously reported that William and Kate will still live at Kensington Palace when they eventually ascend the throne, so they can carry out their major royal duties.

Before moving to Forest Lodge, the royal couple lived at Adelaide Cottage, their four-bedroom property, for over three years.
