The 'Cobra Kai' actress is currently starring in the off-Broadway production of 'Heathers'

Peyton List might not have any crazy date night stories that "have gone as off the rails" as the new Broadway show, Becky Shaw.
"Thank God. I've been in a relationship for years now, so nothing to report," List, 28, exclusively told PEOPLE at the opening night of Becky Shaw at New York City's Hayes Theater on April 6.
The show is a dark comedy about a chaotic blind date that stars Patrick Ball, Madeline Brewer, Alden Ehrenreich, Linda Emond and Lauren Patten.
However, List and her longtime boyfriend, Jacob Bertrand, still like to spend time together in a special way.
"I mean, we're all traveling so much, so it really is seeing shows," she explained about their ideal date night activity. "We saw Dog Day Afternoon the other day, and now seeing Becky Shaw again."

List and Bertrand, 26, first met in 2015 after working on the Disney Channel original movie, The Swap. Both had been starring in respective Disney projects at the time, with her being in Jessie and him on the Disney XD series Kirby Buckets.
Years later, the two reunited after List joined the season 2 cast of Cobra Kai.

In April 2021, Bertrand posted an Instagram in honor of List and her twin brother, Spencer, who were turning 23 at the time.
"Happy Birthday lists! I didnt have a nice picture with spencer so heres him moments before devouring peytons banana foster thing. The other is just peyton lookin cute and i happen to be in the background," he captioned, complete with a photo of them cuddling up in matching denim.
Their friendship blossomed into something more, and they went public with their relationship in March 2022.
"We've been dating for a while," Bertrand told TMZ at the time. "I've never dated anyone I've worked with before. This is almost trial by fire."
"We've been friends for a while," he added. "I was actually tight friends with her brother Spencer, so that was kinda awkward to be like, 'Hey man, I like your sister.' But yeah, we had fun on set and then hung out off-set."

A month after they went public with their romance, List opened up about Bertrand during an interview with Page Six at PaleyFest LA.
"It's been so fun," she said. "I feel like we're all best friends and getting to have, like, a person that I really love in the same city — I'm just so grateful for him. He's the nicest person. But it is weird [on set], because I feel like we're with everyone but each other on the show."
Since then, List and Bertrand have continued making red carpet appearances and praising one another in interviews.
"Jacob is the best person,” she told PEOPLE in 2024. “He's such an authentic, genuine soul, and I trust him so much. I go to him whenever I need advice.”

In February 2025, Bertrand returned the sentiment, telling PEOPLE that List is his "muse."
"She's the person who was really pushing me to direct and write," he said. "She, probably, was honestly just tired of me telling her all of my ideas and was like, 'Well then just do it!' But yeah, she's the person that really gets me going."
"She's also just the hardest working person on planet Earth, so it's kind of hard not to catch a little bit of that spunk that she's got," Bertrand added. "But, she's the most supportive, awesome person ever. She gives me a lot of confidence to try to be as creative as I can be."

List is currently playing Heather Chandler through Sunday, April 26, in the off-Broadway production of Heathers.
Becky Shaw is currently playing at the Hayes Theater through Sunday, June 14.
