North West knows what she wants.
The 13-year-old daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West recently appeared on the cover of Dazed and spoke with the outlet about wanting to pursue a music career. During the conversation, North opened up about her signature blue hair and piercings, explaining that she’s told her mom that there are worse things she could be interested in.
“Everyone’s in love with boys, vaping and doing all kinds of bad stuff,” North said. “All I want is blue hair and piercings.”

Elsewhere in the article, North shared the one piercing that she wants but isn’t allowed to get yet.
“I really want to get my bridge pierced, but I’m not allowed,” North said of her parents’ restrictions. As for why she loves piercings, the teenager had a simple answer. “They just make you your full self,” she said.
In addition to North, Kardashian and West share sons Saint, 10, and Psalm, 7, and younger daughter Chicago, 8.
North was first spotted with piercings in Rome on vacation with her mom. Since then, the teenager has increased her collection of body modifications to include spiked studs near her knuckles.

Despite receiving criticism online about her appearance, North has defended her style on multiple occasions. As has Kardashian, who commented, “This is such a non-issue,” under a Daily Mail Australia TikTok post that reported that North was worrying fans with her “new look.”
The mom of four has also previously asked the public for more “grace” in terms of raising her daughter.
“I’m like, okay, we’re never wearing that again. Unfortunately, we made that mistake in front of the whole world,” she said on an October 2025 episode of Call Her Daddy, adding, “as a mom, you’re kind of like learning at the same time.”
This summer, North was meant to be embarking on her first headlining tour alongside rapper Molly Santana. However, the teenager, who released her debut EP N0rth4evr earlier this year, did not end up touring after dates for both Dallas and the Aug. 17 shows in Toronto were marked as “canceled” on Ticketmaster. The tour’s official website also appeared to have been taken down.
