Normani has established herself as one of pop and R&B’s most recognizable stars. The singer first rose to fame as a member of Fifth Harmony, the girl group formed on The X Factor in 2012. Following the group’s hiatus in 2018, Normani launched a successful solo career and quickly earned praise for hits like “Love Lies” with Khalid, “Dancing With a Stranger” with Sam Smith, “Motivation,” and “Wild Side” featuring Cardi B.
After years of anticipation from fans, Normani released her debut studio album, Dopamine, in June 2024, marking a major milestone in her career. Beyond music, she has remained a fixture on red carpets and at major entertainment events while continuing to expand her creative projects. In her personal life, the singer made headlines when she became engaged to Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf in March 2025. The couple was introduced by Ciara and Russell Wilson and had been dating for several years before Metcalf proposed.
Before her solo success, Normani competed on Season 24 of Dancing With the Stars, finishing in third place alongside professional partner Val Chmerkovskiy.
