Trump dropped a compliment for King Charles during the group pictures and told photographers, "He made a great speech. I was very jealous."

Queen Camilla Pops in Pink

Queen Camilla popped in a deep pink evening gown by Fiona Clare and skipped a tiara for the state dinner.
She did, however, bring the bling by wearing a striking amethyst and diamond necklace gifted by a former Duchess of Kent to Queen Victoria. The statement sparkler later passed to Queen Mary and Tuesday's debut marked the first time that Queen Camilla wore the necklace from the royal vault.

The royals and Trumps posed for another group photo inside the White House, and didn't stand far from a particular portrait.
The photo op occurred near a painting of Trump that depicted him surviving an assassination attempt while speaking on the campaign trail in Butler, Pennsylvania, in July 2024.
CNN reported in April 2025 that the painting was hung in the Grand Foyer of the White House, swapping out an official portrait of former President Barack Obama.

The King addressed the guests during a speech this evening and cracked a joke about the Boston Tea Party—which helped set the American Revolution in motion — in his toast.
"Whether your cup contains tea, wine, Scotch whisky, bourbon or even cola, let us raise our glasses and voices as we toast the past, the present and the future of our two proud and allied nations: To the United States, and the United Kingdom. God bless both our countries," the sovereign said.
