The stars never lie, and Kelly Ripa has the travel stories to prove it!
During an episode of Live with Kelly and Mark, the longtime host revealed which zodiac sign is considered the toughest to travel with, and her husband, Mark Consuelos, knew the answer before she even said it.
“Let me guess. Aries,” Consuelos said.
“Aries is the toughest sign to travel with, period,” Ripa confirmed. “Agreed. I know an Aries who shall remain nameless,” she added, jokingly wrapping an arm around Consuelos.
Ripa was quick to clarify that her husband is plenty of fun… once they reach their destination.
“You are fun on the trip, but getting to the trip, and even worse, coming home from the trip,” she told him. “The fun on the trip, it almost makes it all worth it.”
This is no surprise, considering Aries is a Cardinal, Fire sign known for its spontaneity, bold levels of assertion and more often than not, their lack of patience.
Ripa’s description similarly characterized Aries travelers as energetic trailblazers who are always ready for the next adventure, sometimes before the current one has even ended.
“It’s just the insufferable nature of getting to the trip and coming home from the trip that makes me not want to take the trip at all,” Ripa joked.
Consuelos quickly offered the most Aries solution possible: “We should fly home separately.”
“Oh my gosh, I agree,” Ripa replied.
The good news is that Ripa is a Libra, which also happens to be one of Aries’ most compatible matches, as the two signs sit opposite each other in the zodiac, often balancing each other out.
Ripa also revealed that Taurus and Libra are considered one of the better zodiac pairings for travel. She noted how both Venus-ruled signs appreciate beauty, history, good meals and service over the adrenaline rush Fire signs typically crave.
In true Libra-Aries fashion, Ripa brings the balance by suggesting the idea of switching roles and giving Consuelos a taste of his own travel style.
“The next time we travel somewhere, I will just follow you,” he said. “I’ll let you lead the way.”
Ripa immediately wanted to know whether that meant she would be allowed to make all the plans and remain in charge throughout the trip, which is quite a big ask for Aries, as the first sign of the zodiac and leader of the pack.
“Does that mean when you say ‘follow,’ that I’m in charge of everything?” she asked with a grin.
“Sure. Yeah,” Consuelos replied.
“Very excited about this,” Ripa added.
Ripa and Consuelos, both 55, celebrated 30 years of marriage on May 1, 2026, proving their Libra-Aries, Venus-Mars dynamic lives up to its reputation… even if their travel itineraries don’t always go according to plan.
