Dakota Johnson and Alexander Skarsgård have scentsational chemistry.
Valentino Beauty just launched its new fragrance duo, Valentino Vendetta, and cast the actors in a steamy video campaign to celebrate the launch.
Johnson, 36, and Skarsgård, 50, who are newly announced ambassadors of the brand, bring the collection’s “us-against-the-world” romance to life in the spot, photographed by the Dutch-American fashion photography duo, Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin.

Throughout the clip, various shades of the fiery “Valentino Red” that’s become synonymous with the house flash across the screen, from the off-the-shoulder gown worn by Johnson when she meets Skarsgård in the day to the glow cast during their sexy date night.
Vendetta Donna and Vendetta Uomo both pay homage to the original Vendetta fragrance introduced by the late Valentino Garavani in 1991. They reinterpret the House’s heritage through a contemporary lens, according to the brand.
The fragrance duo is housed in bold new bottles featuring Valentino’s signature graphic “V” motif and couture-inspired pleated caps.
Vendetta Donna blends floral, gourmand and woody notes, with juicy red orange nectar and creamy sandalwood. Vendetta Uomo takes a warmer, spicier direction, pairing sparkling ginger and a cinnamon liqueur accord with a modern woodsy twist.

Valentino Beauty’s new Vendetta fragrance hits US shelves on Friday, Aug. 28. It will mark the brand’s first prestige fragrance launch in six years.
While Johnson and Skarsgård have known each other for a while, their partnership for the fragrance film marks their first professional collaboration.

“I’ve known Dakota for over 10 years,” Skarsgård told Vogue in mid-July. “But this was the first time we were able to work together. I absolutely adore her.”
“Alexander is very funny,” Johnson told the outlet of her co-star. “In the fragrance film, there isn’t any dialogue, but he was still so fun to work with. Calm and down for anything.”

While opening up about their chemistry on set, Johnson teased that the Vendetta campaign and film would give “a glimpse into a relationship that seems to be quite intense and fiery,” she told Vogue ahead of the campaign’s release.
“We shot it in the countryside, so there wasn’t much adventuring around,” she said. “But Alexander was always wearing this little skinny scarf on set, like a blazer with no shirt underneath. So, I started calling him Alexander Scarfsgård.”
