‘The Shards’ star and her mother, Cindy Crawford, made a stylish statement in coordinating black gowns at the wedding

Although many A-listers attended Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding, Kaia Gerber says her own parents was one of the highlights of the night for her.
While promoting her new teen thriller series The Shards alongside costar Graham Campbell with Extra in an interview released on Wednesday, July 29, the model and actress, 24, reflected on her experience at Swift and Kelce’s wedding four weeks ago.
“I mean, honestly, like driving in the car there with my mom and dad was so fun,” said Kaia, whose parents are Cindy Crawford, 60, and businessman Rande Gerber, 64. Crawford is a legendary supermodel while Rande is a businessman who co-founded the tequila brand Casamigos with George Clooney.

Kaia continued, “I literally felt like they were dropping me off at school or something. It’s been a while since I’ve been alone in the backseat with, like, my parents in the front seat. And I was like, ‘This is actually really fun.’ ”
Rande was not photographed at Swift and Kelce’s wedding on Friday, July 3, but makeup artist Jamal Scott shared a snap of Kaia and Crawford twinning in black gowns for the black-tie event at Madison Square Garden in New York City on his Instagram Stories.
At the time, Rande shared his gratitude for his wife and daughter in his own Instagram Stories post, writing over the photo, “Every now and then life reminds you how lucky you are. Couldn’t be more proud to have the 2 @cindycrawford @kaiagerber by my side celebrating a true fairytale.”

Speaking to PEOPLE at the New York City premiere of The Shards on Monday, July 27, Kaia opened up about their night out, describing the wedding as “genuinely a love story.”
“It was so fun to go with my mom,” Kaia shared. “So, I had the best time.”

The Bottoms star’s friendship with Swift, 36, can be traced back to 2015. Kaia starred in the singer’s music video for “Bad Blood,” alongside other celebs like Gigi Hadid and Selena Gomez.
Ryan Murphy’s new steamy thriller series The Shards, based on American Psycho author Bret Easton Ellis’ 2023 novel, premieres on Wednesday, Aug. 5. The first two episodes will release on FX and Hulu.
