Kacey Musgraves has canceled three shows on her upcoming Middle of Nowhere tour, including what would have been the country star’s kickoff show in Chicago.
The canceled shows include the Chicago opening-night performance scheduled for Aug. 20, along with a Boston show scheduled for Aug. 29 and a Brooklyn, N.Y., concert scheduled for Sept. 2, per the Daily Mail.
A Reddit user shared a screenshot of one of the emails announcing the cancellation for the Boston show, which said that refunds would be automatically be issued to ticket holders.

The cities affected by the cancellations had concerts scheduled for multiple nights, and each still has tickets available for the alternate dates, per the singer’s official website.
Musgraves, 37, has not yet addressed the cancellations. A representative for the singer declined to comment when reached by PEOPLE.
The Grammy winner first announced the upcoming North American tour in April, with planned stops in cities including Toronto, Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Nashville, Atlanta, Austin, Salt Lake City, Los Angeles and more before wrapping on Oct. 27 at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle.
Midland, Flatland Cavalry, Carter Faith, Estevie, Charles Wesley Godwin, William Beckmann, Gabriella Rose and The Brudi Brothers were also announced as opening acts throughout the run at the time.
The tour is in support of Musgraves’ sixth studio album, Middle of Nowhere, which was released on May 1.

The project features collaborations with Gregory Alan Isakov, Billy Strings, Miranda Lambert and Willie Nelson.
“The bulk of this record was made during the longest single period of my life,” Musgraves said in a statement at the time.

She added, “I found that for the first time, it actually felt incredible being alone and existing in a space not defined by anyone else. I became fascinated with the concept of liminal space, both geographical and emotional.”
“We don’t linger in these transitional, empty spaces long enough and rush to define where or whatever is next,” Musgraves continued. “I became so at ease with being in the ‘middle of nowhere’ in many senses and sitting in the un-comfort of the undefined. I had a lot of time for creative ambling and leaning into myself in different ways; horses, humor, writing with my early collaborators again, and living out my very simple, inspired life between Texas, Tennessee and Mexico.”
