Shamsu Bibi — a Pakistani content creator known online as Ayesha Gilmana — was reportedly shot to death on Friday, Aug. 14. She was 28.
The internet personality left her home near Taxila, Pakistan, on Friday with her brother and sister after receiving a call, reported local outlets Daily Aaj and Daily Jang. While in their vehicle, two men riding on a motorcycle opened fire on their car, striking Bibi in the neck and killing her, the outlets reported, citing a First Information Report filed by local police.
During the shooting, their vehicle spun out of control and collided with a dump truck, the outlets also reported.

Bibi’s father identified her body at a local hospital, per Daily Aaj and Daily Jang.
Police have opened an investigation, and authorities are searching for three suspects in the case, reported Daily Aaj, adding that Bibi’s brother claimed he would be able to identify the alleged perpetrators.
On TikTok, Bibi maintained a following of over 1.3 million, though her account was switched to private after her death. She had another 176,000 subscribers on YouTube, with a channel known for resharing her livestreams with other content creators.

“Rest in peace, dear friend,” wrote fellow content creator Yousaf Khan in an Aug. 15 TikTok post. “Your memory will stay with us forever. We are seeking justice.”
