Emma Chamberlain is taking a step back from releasing episodes of her podcast, Anything Goes.
On Thursday, April 23, the content creator swapped out her weekly thoughtful monologue and instead posted a YouTube video, which she simply titled "bittersweet." She opened the 17-minute announcement by admitting she was "feeling a bit awkward" having to share some more "serious" news with her audience.
"I am taking a little podcast break," Chamberlain, 24, said. "I don't know how long the break's going to be. I wish I had answers for you. I don't have answers for you. I'm taking an indefinite podcast break."

She continued to address any questions about whether she intends to quit altogether and be "done forever" with Anything Goes, and the influencer acknowledged some fans might be upset to hear the news.
"It did kind of come out of left field. However, it has been something I've been ruminating on for a while now and been avoiding," said Chamberlain. She explained that she had an "aha moment" about a month ago and realized it was time for her to move on. "Once I knew that I needed to do it, it was like, 'Okay, I got to do it,'" she added.
As the title suggests, the fashion icon described the update as "bittersweet," since she's personally not viewing it as a "sad" change, as she said it's not coming from a place of her being "bummed out" or "burnt out." In fact, Chamberlain said she's feeling "really inspired" by her move to halt the podcast.
"I'm making this decision because I know it's time to grow and evolve and restructure … And that's really scary because when something's doing well, when something's working, it is not necessarily intuitive to say, 'Okay, now I'm going to take a break and go back to the drawing board,'" she admitted.

"However, in my soul — and I wish I could explain it, but I can't — in my soul, I woke up one day and I knew that I needed to go back to the drawing board," Chamberlain said. "Even beyond this podcast, the way that I was structuring my work life, was not working for me. And it's up to me to step back, make necessary changes, and then re-enter."
She promised viewers that she wouldn't be disappearing from the internet completely. In fact, she may focus more on her personal YouTube channel or her Instagram page, because while she loves podcasting, Chamberlain said her "ultimate love and passion is in visual entertainment."
The announcement comes weeks after the social media star made her feature film debut in the horror-comedy flick Forbidden Fruits, which also starred Lili Reinhart, Lola Tung, Alexandra Shipp and Victoria Pedretti. Chamberlain also continues to lead as the founder of her Chamberlain Coffee brand, and she recently collaborated with West Elm on a curated collection of furniture.
