Brittany Mahomes is cheering on her pal, Taylor Swift.
The wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes showed love for her pop superstar friend after Swift announced that she’ll be releasing an expanded edition of The Life of a Showgirl.
Brittany, who grew close with Swift during her romance with her now-husband Travis Kelce, reposted Swift’s announcement to her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, Sept. 23 with few emojis showing her excitement.

“😍😍😍,” Brittany, 31, wrote on the now-expired post alongside the album’s new cover art.
Officially titled The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore, the extended version of the album will include four new tracks, including single “Patient Zero.”
The 14-time Grammy winner also wrote a lengthy caption explaining to her fans why she’s choosing to release four new songs on the project.

“About a year ago, you guys did a truly unfathomable thing. Something that completely blew my mind… You gave The Life of a Showgirl the biggest first week for an album in history,” Swift began. “I took a trip to Sweden to celebrate with Max and Shellback, my two collaborators on this album.”

She added, “Really we just wanted to reflect and take in how grateful we were for the moment we were in, but there was a studio there and we did what we do when we feel anything at all: We wrote more songs.”
The “Fate of Ophelia” singer said that the new songs were written with her fans in mind. “I hope you love them, because they were born out of pure gratitude for your exuberance for and celebration of the album we made.”

The Grammy winner revealed the news ahead of receiving the first-ever Artist Director Honors at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards this coming Sunday.
Swift and Mahomes’ friendship dates back three years, around the time Swift attended her first Kansas City Chiefs game in 2023 at the start of her whirlwind romance with Kelce. She and the three-time Super Bowl champion announced their engagement in August 2025 and tied the knot in a star-studded wedding on July 3 this year.
Brittany and Patrick were among the 1,000 guests who attended the splashy nuptials held at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The mom of three wore a blue gown accessorized with a Tacori collar necklace of 14-karat white gold and 75 carats of diamonds, retailing for $96,090.
While Brittany has always been one to cheer on Swift and her music endeavors, the singer-songwriter and Kelce have shown support for their Chiefs friends. On Sept. 20, the pair celebrated Patrick’s 31st birthday at his and Kelce’s steakhouse, 1587 Prime.
