After multiple breakups and reconciliations, the 'Bachelor in Paradise' alums have officially called it quits

Bachelor in Paradise couple Kylee Russell and Aven Jones have officially ended their relationship.
Kylee, 29, confirmed on the Tuesday, June 23 episode of the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast that she and Aven, 32, are no longer together after attempting to make their relationship work for several years.
“I'm glad to finally close that chapter,” Kylee said. “Aven and I are no longer together. I think I'm OK with that, actually, I know I'm OK with that.”
She added, “We're just both two very different people who want two very different things in life, and we clearly tried for three years. No ill will towards him at all, but I think it's time to officially close that chapter and move on and actually find my person.”

Before the pair officially met on Bachelor in Paradise, which aired in 2023, Kylee had already had her eye on Aven.
While appearing on The Viall Files in January 2024, Kylee shut down speculation that the two had met before filming.
“Aven and I never met prior to walking on the beach,” she said. “That second day I was there, that was the first time we were face to face in the same place.”
Still, Kylee admitted she had been interested in Aven long before arriving in Paradise after watching him on Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia's season of The Bachelorette.
“I saw him on Rachel and Gabby season and I had an instant attraction to him,” she said.
According to Kylee, whenever producers asked who she hoped to see in Paradise, Aven was always at the top of her list. She later recalled being thrilled when he liked one of her Instagram photos while her season of The Bachelor was airing, sparking a flirty back-and-forth on social media ahead of filming.
Kylee and Aven left Bachelor in Paradise in a relationship but without an engagement, though their romance ended shortly after the season finale aired.
The couple's relationship faced a major setback in December 2023, shortly after they made their romance Instagram official, when Kylee announced their breakup and accused Aven of infidelity.
“Following our relationship announcement yesterday, I want to thank my God, he didn't allow me to live another day in the dark,” Kylee wrote via Instagram at the time. “In the last 24 hours, I have been grasping with the fact that one of the most important relationships in my life dissolved due to multiple infidelities.”
She continued, “This is not just a show but my real life and for the foreseeable future, I will be in a time of healing and trying to put the puzzle pieces of my life back together. Please respect my privacy at this time.”

Though Aven never publicly addressed Kylee's allegations, the pair later reconciled.
While reflecting on their reconciliation during a July 2024 appearance on Bachelor Happy Hour, Kylee said Aven initially made meaningful efforts to rebuild trust.
“In the beginning, he was doing the work. He was going to therapy, ensuring that my move to San Diego went smoothly,” she recalled. “He was there for me, he was providing for me, it was great.”
Still, the relationship hit another turning point around the one-year anniversary of their Bachelor in Paradise meeting.

“We had a big tough conversation with him expressing to me, ‘Hey, I'm doing all of this. I want this to work but I still feel like you're holding back. I don't know if this is going to work anymore,'” she said.
Kylee explained that Aven eventually ended things again, citing the damage done to their relationship.
“I don't really want to speak for him but basically what he had to say was some days he felt he would wake up and he would think he had such great hopes for us, think we would get to where we needed to be to have a forever future together,” she said. “Other days he woke up and he was just like, ‘There's much damage that I have done personally, I don't think our relationship will ever recover from that.'”
Despite that breakup, the pair found their way back to one another in 2025 and even took the next step in their relationship.
“Everything was amazing,” Kylee said of their reunion on Tuesday's Bachelor Happy Hour. “We moved in together, life was truly starting to unravel, and I saw myself having a future with him, having babies, getting married, doing all the things.”
Still, she said the 'big life decision' that they could never 'agree on' was where to raise a family.
"I'm a big family girl. I love the East Coast and Aven has created a life for himself in San Diego," she explained. "I want to be close to my family … and that's not something that he was wanting… unfortunately we just couldn't come to terms with that."
Kylee previously competed on season 27 of The Bachelor, led by Zach Shallcross, and was eliminated during week five. Aven appeared on season 19 of The Bachelorette, where he pursued Rachel and ultimately finished as runner-up.
